Bandon and RoscburR will hold a convention in Roseburg Satur day at the KP hall under the juris diction of district deputy grand chief, Inga High. i Registration will he from 11 to' 12:30 o'clock. At 12:40 the KP girls I drum corps will play at the Holel Umpqua and march to the KP hall, 1 where the convention will be called to order at 1 o'clock. ! ' Representatives from the var ious temples, including grand chief Elsie Thompson, grand and past grand officers of the irtnA juris- diction of Oregon will attend. ' Following the afternoon session, 1 banquet will be held at the Hotel Umpqua at S 15 and entertainment Will be furnishec' Evening session will be called at 7:45 with competition dulls open to the public. Miss Murle Scales, Clothing Specialist, Oregon State college, conducted proiect leader training workshop, during the month of Marrti. The project leaders who were trained by Mis, Scale, then returned to their own communities and con ducted workshop, tor their neigh bor, and unit members. They were taught the ne'est pd s: -net methods of making cotton dresses. They were heipcu in altering pat terns, cutting on the grain of the material, sewing short cut, an l techniques, trimming seams, and professional finishing. Next year the women will have a Better Dres, Workshop in which thev will learn to sew and work with rayon, silk and linen mate rials They will make dressy type alternoon dresses. The third year of the workshop, they will lie taught the techniques of tailoring on woolen materials.
