Judge Bartlett Rummel of Ta coma ordered Prosecuting Attor ney Hugh Evan to bring legal action against the Brotherhood of Kriends Uxhe, one of the largest Spokane clubs. By the decision, Evans must bring in quo warranto proceeding against the lodge, asking under what authority it operates the ma chines. The clubs, and Evans in his de statute granted non-p ofit clubs of the state mmunity from restric tions against the machines. Tt? next action may brin? a test of the law's validity and deter mination of the slot machine as a gambling device or a lottery, U)t teries are specifically prohibited , oy me state constitution. The judge explained his deci sion had no bearing on whether o not slot machines are forbidden b the state constitution.
