Wilbur Area Hit Hard By Flood By ELSIE BROSZIO The highwater situation in Wil bur haa worked hardships on a large part of the vicinity. The old ! hotel building in the north end of i town was nearly surrounded by ; water and northbound traffic was stopped at the post office building. . The Garden Valley and Coles Val-1 ley roada were closed to traffic. The Otis Woodward farm was nearly flooded and his dairy herd was confined to a small area. Water reached track level and the Southern Pacific teotion crew kept on the job Sunday. The section houses were flooded to floor level. Water flowed ever several places on the highway and traffic moved very slowly. The school was closed Monday and will not be opened until further notice. Church and Sunday school was not held Sunday on account of high water.
