OAKS CRANGI MflTS FOR POTLUCK DINNIP AND MUTING The Fair Oaka Grange met Tuesday, Oct. 17, at the hall east of Sutherlin for i potluck dinner and meetmf. Grange wai called to order by the Master Harry Norton. Three applications were received for membership. Howard Cracroft an nounced that the Slate Grange con ference will be held at Rivers dale Thursday, Oct. 20. All Grange members are invited. The filth degree initiation will be put on by the Pomona officers. Following the business meeting, Mrs. Gladys Adams presented an interesting program of games. A member description contest was won by Nicky Norton and Mrs. Helen Briscoe. Members present were Mrs. Kathryn Potter, Dunne Lasher. Harry Reed. WORKSHOP MEITINO OF GUILD POSTPONED The meeting of the St. George's Guild Workshop has been postponed from the original date of Wednes day, Oct. 25, to Wednesday, Nov. 1. LADY ELKS WILL MEET THURSDAY The Lady Elks will meet for their regular business session Thursday, Oct. 28. As this meeting la of special importance, all mem bers are urged to attend. SUTHERL1.V R EBEKAHS DINE WITH UMPOUA LODGE I'mpqua Rebekah lodge of Elk ton entertained the members' of i Sulherlin Rebekah lodge with a I Halloween party, Tuesday eve ning. A social hour followed the lodge meeting. The program included two solos, ' Alice Blue Gown" and "Stars Are trie Windows o f Heaven,' 'by Mrs Emma Vanden berg. Mrs. Olt Bielman accom panied at the piano. A skit, "Clem' triune," was given by Mrs. Lucille Chase, Mrs. Mary Barker, Mrs. Genieve Cox, Mrs. Emma Vanden berg and Mrs. Olga Bielman, of Sulherlin. The Klklon lodge also gave several numbers, Elkton lodge then invited t h e members and guests to tht dining room, where a Dotiuck suooer was served. Mitchill on Melrose road. The ladies presented Mrs. DeVore with lovely rarda and hand kerchiefs. The hostess served cake and coffee. The business meeting was con ducted by the president Mrs. Nelda Sand. Family flight was planned to be held at the Lutheran church. Satur day, Nov. 11. Mrs. Hildar Johnson, Mrs. Carl E. Johnson and Mrs. Evelyn Warren will be hostesses. A program will be presented by the Sunday school. The next meeting will be Nov. 14 at the home of Mrs. Carl E. John son. He pleaded guilty. . FIRST BAPTIST MISSIONARY GROUP HAS MEETING The Missionary society of the First Baptist church met at the church Thursday afternoon, Oct. 19. The meeting was opened by Mrs. R. D. Knigge. A missionary hymn was sung by the group and the prayer was led by Mrs. Harry Hatfield. Mrs. Anna Wickham was charge of the devotions, the joined other camp fire girls from P' Faith.
