Arthur L. Ward,
Lumberman, Dies
Arthur Inland Ward, 48, 'owner
of the Ward Lumber Co., Roseburg,
died Monday, Oct. 18, after a short
illness. He was horn April 28. 1901,
in Tecumseh, Okla., and came to
Oregon four years ago to make
his home. He was a veteran of
World Wars 1 and 11 and a mem
ber of the American legion, the
Veterans of Foreign Wara and of
the Disabled American Veterans.
He was also a member of the
Masonic lodge of Oakland.
Surviving are the widow, Mar
garete, Roseburg; his mother, Mrs.
Lillie Likowski, Weleetka, Okla.;
a atepson, ( apt. Wm. F. Ilulchins,
Hamilton Air base, San Francisco;
a brother, William Ward, Henry
etta, Okla.; four half-brothers,
George, Harrv and llcnrv Likow
ski, all of Weleetka, Okla., and
Herman Likowski, San Fransicso;
a sister, Mrs. May Lester. Borger,
Texas; a half-sister. Mrs. Ida
Crawford, Weleetka, Okla., and
one granddaughter.

Walter J. Pearson urges all vot

Pearson said the bill would save
