Leroy Hull. Roseburg, became the bride o ( Warren C. Ward of Roseburg. son of Mi", and Mrs. Chester L. Ward, Portland, at an impressive double ring ceremony at 2 o'clock Aug. 28. in the First Mnhodist church. Rev. W. A. MacArthur performed the ceremony in the presence of 200 guests. Tall white cathedral candles in candelabra and baskeli or yellow and white gladioli formed tht church decorctions. Mrs. Gordon Stewart, organist, played the wedding music and ac companied Warren Mark, who sang "Because." and "I Love Thee" before the ceremony and as a part of the ceremony h sang, "The Lord's Prayer." The bride, given in marriage hy her father, was beautiful in a white organdy gown with Chantilly lace jacket. Her veil of illusion was fingertip in length and she carried a white Bible topped by a while orchid tied with a shower of satin ribbons. Mrs. Daun Lillard (Betty Crocker) was matron of honor and Miss Christina Trapalis, Roseburg, and Mrs. FloyC Swensen, Searide, sorority sisters of the bride, were bridesmaids. They wore identical ballerina length dresses of satin with overskirts of white organdy and picture hais of satin to match their dresses. They wore organdy mitts .and tarried nosegays of yel low rosebuds. The matron of honor was in blue and the bridesmaids in yellow. Miss Irene Trapalis, wearing blue organdy, and Miss Cynthia Turner, in yellow organdy, and both with wristlets of white car nations, lighted the randies. Aaron Boe of Klamath Falls was best man and Daun Lillard and Lyle Fenner were ushers. The bride's mother wore a pink and black print dress with black accessories and a corsage of pink carnations. The bridegroom's mother ore a red and black print dress with black accessories and a corsage of white carnations. A reception followed for 150 guests at the home of the bride's parents at 404 W. Douglas street. RICE-DUNBAR PARTY IS CHARMING AFFAIR SATURDAY EVENING i Mrs. Ervin Rice and Mrs. Harnr Dunbar were hostesses at a bridal ahower held at the Rice Vallev hall last Saturday night honoring Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Hogan of Oakland, who were married a t Reno, Nev. last week. The hall was decorated with bouquets of mixed fall flowers. A lace-covered table held the man gifts. Prises for the state flower game played were won by Mra. William castor and Harry Smith. Her father, the late Charlie Benjamin, was owner of Ihe Plaindealer, which was located where the Medical arts building, which houses the News-Review, now stands. BPWC HAS FIRST FALL MEETING ON MONDAY EVENING The first meeting of the MtM-Sl season of the Rosehurg Business and Professional Women's club was held Monday evening in the Episcopal parish hall, with new officers, Mrs. Flossie Virden president; Mrs. Ralph Herman, program coordinator, Mrs. Edytli Landis, secretary and Mrs Edyth Gilmour, treasurer. Mrs. Celia Day led the club in giving the flag salute and Mrs. Virginia Ashcraft led the club col lect. Miss Ina Farnsworth accom panied group singing by the club. Mrs. Goida Nickel was chair man for the evening assisted by Mrs. Gladys Foley. Mrs. Nickel presented a varied and enjoyable program. The emphasis of the meeting beinfc on "Membership, Miss V. Vivian lyigsdnn spoke on "Federation," Mrs. Stella Snen or spoke on "Quality not Quan tity" and Mrs. Edyth Landis spoke on "Why lama Member.
