Lumber Swindls Charged To Four In Portland Deal PORTLAND VP) Three men were under arrest Fridsy snd fourth was sought in connection with what police described as a lumber swindling scheme. Cspt. Howard Kelly ot the Mult nomah county sh-riff's office said the four were accused of selling to carlords of lumber, valued at $25,000, to Portland brokers after agreeing to truck it here for trans shipment by rail. Under arrest were Jack Gordon Hanley, 22, Grcsham; Jack Rich ard 'race, 25, Portland, and Joe Tony Koskl, 21, Boring. Hanley and Brace were taken to the Polk county jail at Dallas.
