Laundry Man Arrested For Wrong Pick-Ups PORTLAND (TP) A laundry pick up driver who picked up mer chandise and laundry with equal enthusiasm, waa out on $1,000 bond Saturday. A department store retrieved 120,000 worth of merchandise, using two trucks to haul it back. Ben Wexler, S5, was the laundry driver. He was arrested Friday night on a grand larceny charge. Detectives Dale Patterson and Andrew Heckman said he told them it waa quite simple: s i x days a week since 1947 he had vis ited the store, picking up laundry on each floor. Along with the laun dry, he stuffed into bags such things as elpctric appliances, cloth ing and groceries. Nothing was sold, he said, and the detectii aaid little had been used.
