The mix-up started when he "re signed" from the naval reserve last year to go into the marine reserve with some friends. Mrs. Cal Ray, the 120-pound sharpshooter from Eugene, Ore , broke 199x200 to win the women's North American title. It was the Oregon woman's first national crown although she and her hus band, a retired lumberman, walked off with the husband-wife title in 1948 and 1949. Her winning score yesterday was two targets ahead of any ever fired in the feminine event in 32 years. Reigger lost his national title in one of the most devastating dis plays of marksmanship the big trap shoot has ever witnessed. S. Navy Aug. 1 9, according to the local naval recruiting substation, Reynolds, who formerly resided in Roteburg while working for the Roseburg Lumber, is from Clen Ridge, N. J., and is the son of Mr. end Mrs. Welter M. Reynolds of that city. Upon completion of training, Reynolds will attend one of the Navy's schools in electronics. Wilson, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. L, Wilson of Oakland, has been employed by the Martin Bros. Box Co, of Oakland for the last two years. Both youths reported to San Diego for recruit train ing. Earl refused comment, but didn't flatly deny that he had been of fered an investigation position with the . commission. Crisler, 21, wanted for car theft, ignored an order to halt Brian pulled his gun and fired one shot. It ss then too hot for Crisler, who fell screaming to the mid-town pave ment, his hands in the air. The young El Reno, Okla., re formatory parolee wasn't nicked. He later was jailed under $1,500 bail. "The fellow ran when we came up to him," explained Brian, "and it's just too hot to chase anybody so 1 stopped him the easy way."
