Dr. Pearson, with Dr. Rue, had charge of the rapMij growing medical missionary work in Seoul, and operated a 125-bed hospital there. They employed 175 native Koreans, besides 10 native doc tors. In addition to the regular hospital patients, they treated from 300 to 400 "out-patients" daily, he said. Mrs. Pearson helped in both the school there and the hospital. Dr.' Pearson told of their ex perience in the present Korean trouble, of the rapidly moving Red army and of how the missionaries and other Americans had to get out on very short notice. The Wilbur ladies' soft ball team met the Dixonville ladies Thurs day night at Dixonville and were defeated by a score of 22 to 6 The Wilbur men's Softball team met the Melrose men's team at Melrose Sunday and won with a score of 24 to 17. The Wilbur Recreational club will hold its regular meeting and dance Saturday night at the Rec reational hall in Wilbur. Music will be furnished bv local talent and all interested in a good time are urged to attend. The Wilbur school house is un dergoing a redecorating and re wiring job in preparation for tha opening of school. A few rooms are being repainted, including the pri mary room and the fourth, fifth and sixth grade rooms. A com plete rewiring job to meet standard requirements is in progress. Water District Meeting At Dillard Scheduled All residents of the Winston Dillard Water district are urged to attend a meeting of the board, scheduled for Monday at 8 p.m., in the Dillard school, announced Marshall Haughn, chairman. Purpose of the meeting, he said, is to review with the residents of the district the contract negoti ated with the Roberts Creek Water district for the purchase of water. The board would like to have as many persons attend as poss ible, so they may be fully in formed ot the terms, he said.
