Oak Phone 348 COLT BORN TO MULE OAKDALE, LA., Mules are not supposed to have colts but 19-year-old Katty has one. Katty's owners, Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Clark, were startled when their big, dumb-looking work animal turned up one morning with an offspring. The colt is a bushy-tailed female. It has a long head, long, largo jointed legs and tiny black hooves. The Clarks believe it was sired by a wild horse in the woods sur rounding their farm in the cypress community. Mules are foaled by mares bred to asses and generally are sterile hybrids.
