Several visitors were present in cluding Mabel Ross of Sutherlin, Musician for the Rebekah Assem bly of Oregon; Mary Barker, No ble Grand of the Sutherlin Rebe kh Lodge, and several members of that lodge; and a visitor to the Philaterian Lodge from New Mex ico. ' Ethel Bailey, Past President of the Rebekah Assembly of Oregon, took the opportunity to encourage the Odd Fellows toward a bigger and better and more active lodge. Clark Robb, pastor of the Evange lical North Roseburg church. The bride, daughter of Mrs. El mer Walker of Uba City, Calif., wore a white nylon afternoon dress with white accessories and a la vender orchid corsage. The bride groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Gosso. Miss Laura DeGnath was maid of honor and best man was Doug las Keene. : The reception followed at the bridegrooms home and the bride's table was covered with a white Sr. cloth. The two-tiered wedding cake was topped with a miniature bride and bridegroom. White sweet peas and white tapers completed the arrangement. Mrs. Elmer C. Ray and Mrs. Art Hass served. Attending the wedding and re ception were Mr. and Mrs. ham Gosso, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dillard, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Keene, Mrs. Lyle SUibblefield, Mrs. Elmer Ray, Mrs. Art Hass, Miss Laura DeGnath. Miss Bar bara Gosso, all of Roseburg; and Miss Dorena Gates of Tenmile. The couple will reside on Rose Lane. Mr. Gosso is empioyea at the Associated Plywood mill. Weber and Oliver Plumer and the other installing officers for their cooperation. OUie Krueger thanked her lodge for the honor of being elected to her office; and Ken neth Graves thanked his lodge for the unusual honor of being elected to serve as Noble Grand for a sec ond term. ZONTA CLUB MEMBERS HOLD PICNIC TUESDAY Zonta club members held a pic nic at the Alvin Helgcson home near Myrtle Creek Tuesday even ing followed by a business meet ing. The club members voted to provide a bench at the swimming pool and have it installed. They also voted to sponsor a refresh ment booth at the county fair in August. Mrs. Donn Radabaugh reported on the international convention of Zonta held at Miami in June. She represented the local club at the sessions. Attending were Airs. The newlyweds returned by the way of Reno on July 5 to Ash land, where they visited briefly witn relatives oi tne uriae. The bride has lived in Sutherlin Tor the last seven years and grad uated from the Sutherlin High school wiyli the class of 1950. She was one of the princesses in the recent Timber Days celebration, . The bridegroom graduated from Sutherlin High school in 1948. He attended college in Colorado in 19 49 and expects to resume his stud ies in September. He is at present employed at the Tyee mill. An estimated 150 attend ed. The program was furnished by Rotary Anns. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Spencer, assisted by a number of Rotary club members and their wives, participated in several folk dance numbers. The evening was closed with the Rotary song.
