Society EVERGREEN H. E. CLUB HOLDS MEETING AT UMPO" , A'K JULY 11 Evergreen Home Economics club members planned to hold future summer meetings at Umpqua parg when they met there July 13 with Blanche Tipton, Cora Jackson and Marion Harryman as hostesses. Plans were made for the club to furnish meat dishes and members to bring desserts, salads or cover ed dishes for the supper to be served July 22 at the Grange hall at 6:30 p.m. This will be open to the public. The next club meeeting is sched uled for July 27 with Nell Lander and Mable Garriclc as hostesses. Those attending are asked to bring table service. Present were Dorothy Talbott, Blanche Tipton, Wanda Wagler, Bess Lounsbury, Minnie Wagler, Mable Lange, Gladys Stafford, Ma ble Garrick, Ruble. Bloom, Myrtle Glen, Cora Jackson, Nell Lander, Cora Johnson, Olivia Lander, Mar ion Harryman, Sarah Cyrus and four guests, Mrs. Morris Carder man, Judy Lounsbury, Windell Wagler and Dean Lounsbury. DUNN AT CLUB MEETING Mrs. Charles Dunn was honored at a pink and blue shower by the women of the Garden valley Worn- en's club when they met July 4. i The table was centered with a : stork and the gifts were presented in a baby buggy, which was one of the gifts. were Mrs. Charles Dunn, and two ' daughters: Mrs. J.S. YONCALLA LEGION AUXILARY MEETING HELD TUESDAY EVENING Yoncalla American Legion Aux iliary no. 174 met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Russell in Scotts Valley, Tuesday evening, July 11. Mrs. Russell Loyd gave a report on the booth at the rodeo July 4. They cleared $88.00 which was di vided equally with the local Le gion post for helping in the booth. Miss Lois Ann Wright gave a report on Girls State. Mrs. Dora : Benner and Mrs. Ralph Latham will be sent to the convention at Grants Pass, Sept. 7th, 8th and 9th.
