Lillard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lillard, of this city Sunday, May 7, at St. George's Episcopal church. Kev. Altred Tyson performed" the ceremony at two o'clock in the afternoon in the presence of two hundred guests. White cala lilies were used on the altar. Other decorations were four large baskets of spirea. Leroy Hiatt sang, "o periect Love," ana the "Lord's Prayer" accompanied by Mrs. K. B. Herscmeo. The candles were lighted by Wayne and Larry Wenninger acting as acolyte, boys. The bride, given in marriage by Mr. Oderkirk, was lovely in an off-the-shoulder gown of white nylon marquisette with chantilly lace bodice and matching lace edging the peplum. Her white net veil was waist length and was held in place with a crown of seed peark. She carried a white Bible topped with a white orchid and stephanotis. Miss Betty Smith of Corvallis, godmother of the bride, was maid of honor, and wore a gown of orchid nylon msrquisette with off the shoulder neckline and an orchid headdress. She carried white . gladioli tied with orchid ribbon. Miss Christina Trapalis, Miss Yvonne Hiatt, Miss Pat Sheehy and Mrs. Jack Rodgers were brides maids and wore green dotted Swiss off-the shoulder gowns with flowered hats to match: They carried pink gladioli tied with green and white ribbons. Anne Saunders was flower girl and wore a gown of pink dotted Swiss. Her headdress was of pink carnations, one wore matching pink gloves. Timmy Kash was ring bearer. Kelsev Hobday Jr.. was best man and Wesley Ashworth, Pat Sullivan, Don uerretsen ana uaie Lander were ushers. The bride's moiher wore a powder blue suit with pink acces sories and the bridegroom's mother wore a chartreuse colored suit with pink accessories. Both mothers wore corsages of pink carnations. A wedding reception followed In the parish hall with St. George's episcopal uuild members in charge. The beautiful three-tiered wedding cake wps topped with a heart-shaped picture of a bride and oriaegroom. Mrs. Leroy Hiatt cut the cake and Miss Irene Trapalis and Miss Carrie Miller served the punch. Gifts were in charge of Miss Ann (Jane, and the guest book was in charge of Miss Audrie Roselund. Out-of-town guests present were: Mrs. h.tC. Batten of Waldport; Mrs. E. H. Ernquist and son, Leslie Howell, of Woodenville. Wash., Mrs. J. B. Fuller and daughter. Marilyn: Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Jendro and Miss Nancy Bailey, of Longview, Wash., Mrs. H. C. Hanson of Norma, N. D., Mr. and Mrs. Mark Balfour of Ashland; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Shoen hard of Corvallis: Mr. and Mrs. Tony Shafer of Eureka, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wilkerson of McMinnville. For traveling the bride chose a navy suit with navy, and white straw hat with a veil. Her acces sories were navy and white. Fol lowing a honeymoon to San Francisco and up the coast through the Redwoods, Mr. and Mrs. Lil lard are now at home to their friends on the Keasey road, routo 2, box 123. The bride has lived In Roseburg all of her life. She was graduated from Roseburg senior high school in 1946; attended Oregon State college and is affiliated with Sigma Kappa sorority. She is number of KRNR radio rtation staff. The bridegroom was grad uated from Roseburg high .school in 1946 and served two 'years with the U. S. navy. Wade and Mrs. Ches ter Morgan entertained at a very charming one o'clock luncheon and contract bridge and canasta party Monday at the Roseburg Country club. Deep blue Dutch iris and bright yellow Spanish iris formed the long arrangement over the fire place. Mahogany and yellow tulips centered the gift table, whle bou quets of mixed spring flowers were used about the room. The luncheon was served buffet style. The table was centered with pink tree peonies, while each serv ing table was centered with a large Cynthia rhododendron bloom. Sixteen tables of cards were in play during the afternoon. High score in the bridge play was won by Mrs. Arthur W. Baum: Mrs. H. T. Hansen won second high score and Mrs. E. C. Patterson won third high score. The canasta prize was won by Mrs. W. I. Dixon. Boyd of Yoncalla became the bridelof Tom J. Harris of Suthcrlin Saturday morning, May 13, at ten o'clock In the Assembly of God church in Sutherlin. Rev. E. Rey oftioiated. The wedding music was played by Mrs. Irene Hoicomo of Sutherlin. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Gossage of Drain sang. "I Love You Trulv." accompanied by Mrs. Loyd Fosncr of Yoncalla. The bride was Riven in marriaee by her brother, Tim Ellis, ot Yon calla. ace wore a pastel-colored blue suit and carried a white Bible. Her accessories were white and she wore a head band of while satin trimmed with Talis man roses and stephanotis to match her corsage. Mrs. E. W. Johnson of Valsetz, Ore., was matron of honor for her "ister, and wore a biege suit with white accessories. Miss Lillian Bay of Sutherlin was bridesmaid and wore a pink suit with white accessories. Both the matron of honor and bridesmaid wore cor sages of white roses and lilies of the valley. Six-year-old Judyth Lynne John son of Valsetz was flower girl. She wore a pink suit with black sandals and white gloves and car ried -the bride's bouquet composed of pink roses and lilies of the valley. Charles Harris of Suthcrlin was best man for his brother and ushers were Loren Harris, brother of the bridegroom, and Elmer Healhcock, cousin of the bride groom. . Both the bride and bridegroom have resided in Douglas county for a number of years. The bride attended Sutherlin high school. They will be at home to their friends after May 20th in Sutherlin. Haskins, wife of the manager of the Veterans hos pital in Roseburg, will sponsor two benefit card parties for St. George's Kpsicopal Guild next Wednesday, May 24th, at her lovely home at the post. Th afternoon party will follow i one o'clock dessert-salad lunch eon. The evening party will begin at eight o'clock and will be open to both men and women. Patricia Jane Ellsworth, daugh ter of Congressman and Mrs. Har ris Ellsworth of Roseburg, Ore., and Washington D. C, became the bride of Thomas Francis McKcnna, son of Mr. and Mrs, James A. McKcnna of Poughkeepsie, New York, at high noon today, May 20 at St. Ann's Catholic church, Wash ington D. C. The nuptial mass was celebrated by the Rev. Russell A. Phelan. Lighted candles and white gladioli decorated the altar. The bride, given in marriage by her father, was beautiful in a wed ding gown of white satin. The deep yoke was trimmed, with narrow bands of satin and crystal bead ing. Her finger-tip veil of French illusion fell from a coronet of tiny white forget-me-nola. She carried a cascade of white orchids, flown from Hawaii as the gift of Dele gate and Mrs. Joseph R. Farring ton of Hawaii. Mrs. Donald J. Dittmann of Cleveland, Ohio, was matron of honor for her sister and the brides maids were Miss Beverly Farring ton, Miss Sheila Kelly and Miss Peggy Turner, all of Washington. The attendants wore matching gowns of turquoise marquisette embroidered with white flowers. They carried cascade bouquets of Coral gladioli, the matron of hon or s bouquet being centered witn white orchids. All wore coronet headdresses of braided turquoise marquisette the same shade as their dresses. Miss Michcle Mc Kcnna, niece of the groom, was flower girl. She wore a white or gandy dress and carried a minia ture bouquet matching those of the bridesmaids. James A. McKenna, Jr. was best man for his brother and the ushers were John J. McKenna of New York City, pr. Joseph J. Mc Kcnna, Edward R. McKcnna, all brothers of the bride-groom, and Donald J. Dittmann of Cleveland, Ohio, brother-in-law of the bride. Miss Joan Fehr was soloist for the ceremony. The reception was held at the Congressional Club where the ball room was decorated with masses of palms, ferns and white flowers. Ferns and palms banked the fire place before which the parents of the bridal couple and the mem bers of the wedding party stood. Mrs. Ellsworth received in a gown of aqua brocaded silk taf feta, with which she wore a whits orchid corsage and a hat of cocoa flowers. The bridegroom's' mother wore a dress of cocoa silk taffeta, with a hat of white flowers and a white orchid completing her cos tume. The long buffet table was cen tered with a five-tiered wedding cake flanked by white, flowers and lighted candles. In charge of the cake were Mrs. Lowell Stockman. wife of Congressman Stockman of Oregon, and Mrs. Marshall Pen gra, formerly of Roseburg, Oregon, and now of Oak Ridge, Tennesee. Those who assisted in cutting the cake were Miss Virginia Nicholls, formerly of Portland, Oregon, Miss Diana Powers of Coos Fiy, Ore gon, Mrs. James A. McKcnna, Jr., Mrs. John J. McKcnna of New York City, Miss Joan Fehr, Mrs. William Reynolds and Miss Mary Johnson. He is also a - graduate of Catholic University of America School of Law and is a member of the bar of the District of Columbia and the State of New Mexico.
