He also wrote five plays. Sabatini was born in Italy. His father waa an Italian singer. His mother was an Englishwoman. The writer became a naturlised British citiien in ISIS. His first wife, whom he married in 1903, di vorced him in 1931. Their son, Ra fael Jr., had heen killed in motor accident in 1927. In 1935 he married Mrs. Chris tine Dixon.
