Sept. 12. tJPi Mrs. Faye Emerson Roosevelt said today "No comment, on statement concerning a pub lished report that she and her husband, Elliott, have separated. New Smut Of Whtxit To Get Vital Milling Test A new smut-resistant wheat de veloped at the Umatilla branch experiment station from a cross of Alicel and Oro it undergoing large scale milling testt at the Pioneer Flour Mills company at Island City to determine whether it is suitable for Introduction. Under a cooperative plan fol lowed by experiment stations in the northwest, no new wheats are released for general distribu tion unless they first pass milling and baking tests, thus avoiding the fate of Rex. Rex is tmut re sistant and yields well, but the millers will have none of it. The new Oregon wheat it being tested along with two from the Washington Experiment station.
