The conference had a hectic

It seemed Vishlnskv had been

foot. Three-inch asDhalt paving
would cost a total of 114,920 or
$8.55 per running foot.
The problem involved primari
ly Is what responsibility does the
city have in maintaining graveled
streets. If only the curbs and
gutters are installed at property
owner expense, the city would be
required to give the street con
stant maintenance. While some
maintenance and further oiling
would be necessary if one coating
of oil were applied at property
owner expense, the city would be
relieved to some extent. Paving
would virtually eliminate city
maintenance, but would bring the
initial cost to the property own
ers to the much higher figure.
The matter was clelerrea until
the nroDertv owners could be con
sulted, and a final decision made
at the next meeting.
