Grange To Meet RIversdale Grange will hold a Fathers' Day program at 8:15 Friday night at the Hall. Mrs. C. T. Tipton, Mrs. R. B. Hampton and Mrs. James Meyers will head the hostess com mittee in charge of refreshments. Four candidates were given the 1st ana zna degrees at the last meeting of the Grange, with Overseer Myron Lehne in charge. A 4-H program followed. Here For Class Mrs. Mae H. Frye, Instructor in upholstering, draperies and slipcovers, arrived in Roseburg Monday from Eu gene and is being sponsored by the Roseburg School District in cooperation with the State Vo cational Education Department, in a 10-class session for women of this community. Classes will ne held from 7 to 10 every night through Friday of this week and nightly through Friday next week at the Junior High School. June 14.-(JP) Hot weather and low humidities made Oregon's forest lire hazard the worst of the year. The situation was most serious In southwest and south central Oregon, where humidities al ready were below the danger point and are expected to de crease tomorrow. In the southwest region hu midities ranged from 17 to 53 per cent and are expected to fall to 10 to 44 per cent in the in terior tomorrow, with clear and warm weather and temperatures around 100 degrees. South central Oregon humidi ties ranged as low as 17 per cent today and are expected to fall to a minimum of 10 per cent tomor row with temperatures of 95 de grees. Northwest Oregon had moder ate fire hazards todav with a low humidity of about 39 per cent. But tomorrow it Is expected to drop to a low of 25 per cent with temperatures of 90 degrees and clear warm weather. Fire watchers were alerted.
