Jackson Only 60 Shopping Days Til Christmas Christmas Shopping in October DAILY DEVOTIONAL (Dr. Charlaa A. Edward) Who can measure the power of prayer? Tennvson was right when he said: "More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of." The church perhaps Is falling at this point as at no other point. We are often asked this question: Why do we not see more of the pow er of God manifested in our churches and. in the lives of Hia followers. No doubt it is because of a lack of fervent praver, for It Is through prayer that we reach up and receive that power that transforms lives. In these days of chaos and confusion, we need to turn to God, as did the disciples of old with the request, "Lord teach us to pray." Prayer will bring a revival to any church, to any community, to anv nation. It was the prayer of an Invalid woman and her sister that brought Dwlght L. Moody to England to conduct a revival that stirred a nation. If we are to see 4 great turning to God, we must pay the price through prayer, and thus we can "bind the world - --ith golden chains about the of God." "Prayer changes ti. J." Amen.
