(JPI Teachers and preachers are the lowest paid among Colgate Uni versity graduates out o( college one and two decades, while those in Industry are the highest paid, a placement bureau survey has revealed. Average salary for members of the class of 1928 is $8,444, while that for the class of 1938 is $5,104, the survey showed. Although teachers In the class of 1928 are averaging only $4. 105 and those In the class of 1938 only $3,513, men In Industry In the twenty-year class are av eraging $12,510, while those in the ten-year class are averaging $6,144. Highest salary reported bv a class of 1928 graduate was $40,000 in industry while the lowest was $2,400 by a minister. Lowest salary for the ten-year group was $1,800 by a minister. Two members of the class of 1938 are earning $20,000, one in busi ness and the other In Industry. 'Two Held on Charge Of Killing Livestock REEDSPORT Earven Garling house, 40, and Johnny Mattice, 21, of Five Mile, north of Gardiner, appeared in Justice Court in Reedsport Monday to answer to a charge of killing livestock. They were arrested by state po- lice officers and a Douglas Coun ty deputy sheriff. Thev are al leged to have shot a registered 'Jersey cow belonging to the Mur phey Bros. Ranch on the night of Sept. 24. Garlinghouse is said by officers to have admitted the actual shoot ing, but claimed he thought he was shooting a cougar. Judge Wright bound the pair over to the grand Jury and set bail at $2,500 each, which Mattice furnished. Garlinghouse was tak en to the county Jail at Roseburg to await grand Jury action. The arrested men have been living in an old house on the Mur phey Bros. Ranch for the last lew months. Baldness Said Cured By Acquiring New House LONDON UP) The case of a man whose baldness was cured by acquiring a house was report ed In The Practitioner, a British medical journal. Dr. F. F. Helller, dermatologist, wrote that "the essential cause of alopecia arepta (patchy bald ness is psychological. "A patient of mine revealed that he was 'fed up' at living In his mother-in-law's house. No doubt there were deeper conflicts lurking In his subconscious, but the acquisition of a new house cured his depression and his alo pecia.'
