Called to California Miss Mar garet Joyce, head dietician at the Roseburg Veterans Hospital, has been called to Santa Barbara, Calif., by the illness of her sister. Arrives for Training Word has been received by Florence Lorenz of Rosebure that her son. Buddy Rockwell, has arrived !n San Diego, Calif., and is now re ceiving his boot training at the Naval Base there. Returns to Eugena Paul Back lund has returned to Eugene to resume his vocational school training course, following a few days visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Backlund, and other relatives. California Visitors Leave Mrs. Joanne Klumb and Miss Dorothy Lanpher have left for their homes in Los Angeles, follow ing two weeks vacationing and visiting Mr. and Mrs. Clark Tay lor. Mrs. Klumb was matron of honor of the wedding of the Tay lors, February 14, 1947. Mrs. Taylor is the former Clover Kerr of this city. Hera From Los Angelas Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Brown of Los Angeles are visiting their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Brown, at Elgarose.' Improving Mrs. S. L, Dillard, who recently suffered injuries when struck by an automobile, is reported to be Improving at Mer cy hospital. Returns to Montana Mrs. Alma Girstcher has returned to her home in Deer Lodge, Mont., following a visit with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Warren, and family, of Elgarose. Visiting Relatives Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cummlngs and chil dren of Los Angeles are visiting the former's brother-in-law ana sister, Mr. and Mrs. Barker, and family, on the Doerner road.
