Tandy Is Inspiration For Many Charming Affairs of Week Some of the most charming parties of the summer season have been given in compliment to Mrs. E. F. Tandy of Washing ton, D.C, during her stay in Roseburg as the guest of Miss Helen Casey for the last two weeks. She will be the house guest of Mrs. Arthur Clarke dur ing the coming week and a num ber of delightful affairs are plan ned for the remainder of her , stay. Last Friday evening Mrs. S. L. Kidder entertained her bridge club with Mrs. Tandy as guest of honor at a delightful seven thirty o'clock dessert-bridge sup per at her home on North Steph ens street. Contract bridge was in play during the evening. On Saturday evening Miss Helen Casey -entertained at a lovely dinner party at her attrac tive home on B I a k e 1 y street honoring Mrs. Tandy. The program for tne coming year was outlined and a travel tour membership contest was planned with Gladys Wiley and Laura lies named as captains. A youth project was discussed and tentative plans for a project to be decided upon later, were maoe.
