Extension Unit to Meet Davs Creek Home Extension Unit will meet at Lavadoure hall for an all day session beginning at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. A potluek lunch eon will be held at noon. At Veterans Hospital Ben Fen nell of Oakland has been admitted to the Veterans hospital in Port land for treatment. Back From Pendleton Mrs. H. V. Su'livan lias returned to her home in Roseburg, followig a trip to Pendleton to visit her father, who has been ill. Leave For Home Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Ingram have left for their home in Eugene via the coast route, following a visit In Rose burg at the Gene Nabb home on Military street. Keels Return Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Keel and son, Tommy, have returned to their home in Roseburg from a vacation trip to Vancouver and Victoria, B. C, and Seattle. Weaver's Guild to Meet Rose burg Weaver's Guild will meet Thursday at 2 o'clock at the home of Mrs. Roy W. Barnhart, 136 West Third Avenue, North. Ylvisaker, Boy Scout executive for this area, will return to his of fice in the Douglas County State Bank building Thursday morning after attending a scout executive meeting in Salem and a staff meeting In Eugene. He left Monday morning. Leaves For North Dakota George Winters has left for his home In Jamestown, N. D., fol lowing a week and a half in Rose burg visiting with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. George Crocker, on Harvard Ave nue in Roseburg. He will stop en route home for a visit with his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George Winters, Jr., and family. Lairds Return Home Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Laird have returned to their home on Winchester street from Grants Pass, where thew were met by their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Merle Lowden (Gertrude Laird), and children, Barbara and Linda, of Lakeview, Ore., who took them on a trip through the Red woods and down the coast ta San Francisco and Berkely, Calif. At the latter place, they visited the iaircis son ana aaugnter-in-iaw, Mr. and Mrs. Burton Laird. The Lairds and Lowdens spent Easter Sunday witn menus at creceni City, California. Reported III H. E. At Counts Home Carlos Neal and his twin daughters are visit ors at the Hurley Counts home. Mr. Neal an employee of Trow bridge and Flynn, has been trans ferred to Roseburg from Medford. Visit Grandparents Norma and K. D. Thiele, daughter and son of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Thiele of Roseburg, have returned to their home, following the spring vaca tion at Tyee visiting their mater nal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Powell. Mr. Thiele, who has ben convalescing from a re cent operation, is now back at his work with the h arm liuiustri al Equipment Company. Ill at Home Mrs. J. F. Tiaker is reported ill at her home on East Lane street. Son Is Born A son, weighing seven pounds and fourteen ounces, was porn to Mr. and Mrs. (jiani Nielsen ut Westwood, Calif., ac cording to word received here. Mrs. evielsen was formerly Daisy Swan of Lookingglass. Leaves For New York Miss Dora Baker, daughter of Deputy Sheriff and Mrs. R. G. Baker of Roseburg, left todav for New York City to take a refresher course at Antoine School of Beauty Culture. Miss Baker was ijraduuted from the school four veins ago and recently returned to Roseburg to visit her parents. Dtnine the last few years, she has been in Hollywood, where she was associated with the Wcstmore Beauty staff in the motion pic ture industry. She is a sister of Mrs. Howard Marsh of this city.
