The lunch committee was ap pointed and included: Shirley White and Lee Moffitt. The pro gram committee included: Joan MeGhehey and Maxine Moffitt. A box social followed with Art MeGhehey In charge of selling the boxes. $16.11 was realized The next meeting date will be April 16. BENEFIT CARD PARTY TO BE HELD SATURDAY Calapooia Ladies Club has in vited the public to a benefit card party to be held at the clubhouse Saturday night, April 10. Prizes will be awarded winners in pin ochle, five-hundred and bingo and refreshments will be served. Members are requested to bring tables, cards and cither sand wiches or cookies. COMMUNITY CLUB ANNOUICES MEETING ' Winchester Community Club will meet at one-thirty o'clock Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Jay Johnson at Fair Acres with Mrs. Art Davidson, assist ing hostess. MELROSE EXTENSION UNIT TO MEET Melrose Home Extension Unit will hold a meeting on "Corsages and flower arrangements," at the nome ol Mrs. Herman Aydeiotl at ten o'clock Friday morning, April 9. The demonstration will be in charge of Mrs. Aydelott and Miss Luclla Cuningham. Ladies are requested to bring flowers and their favorite vase. Tenmile TENMILE Mrs. Walter Coats, of Tenmile, left Friday morning for Redmond, Ore., to be witli her daughters, Mrs. George Glad will, who had a major operation at Redmond hospital, on Friday. Mrs. L. M. McCaffrey visited Mrs. Walter Coats at Tenmile, Thursday afternon. Mr. and Mrs. George Bacon of Oakland, Calif., are visiting relatives and friends in Doug las County. Mis. Bacon had the misfortune to fracture the large bone in her arm. near the wrist. She is convalescing at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Ollivant in Olalla. "They have lost all knowledge of how to hold and treat a man!" said Miss Diaz with a toss of her red hair.
