February 26, 1898, and moved to Oregon 41 years ago. They have been residents of Douglas County for 36 years. Millard, pas tor, performed the Impressive double ring ceremony in the pres ence of 20 guests. The chapel was decorated with carnations daffo dils, pussy willows, heather and ferns. The bride, who was -iven In marriage by her father, was love lv in a suit of midnight blue with matching accessories. Jler corsage was of white carnations and pink sweetpeas. Miss Janet Walker of Reeds port was maid of honor and wore a navy blue silk dress with flow ered bodice and a corsage of gar denias. S. J. Pritehett, father of the bridegroom, was best man. Preceding the ceremony, Rev. D. E. Millard sang "Always" and "Because." Following the ceremony, a re ception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Buster Swearingen on the Central Point Midway road. The bridal couple cut the first piece of wedding cake and serving was continued by Mr. and Mrs. Clarence H. Tison. Punch was served by Miss Patricia Lem mon. Following a honeymoon the couple will make their home in Eugene. The bride attended Medford High School and later was grad uated from Riddle High School In January. 1946. The bridegroom was discharged one and a half years aeo from the U. S. Navy as a MO MM 3rd class, following two vears in the service, practically all of wnicn was in tne soutn t-acmc theater of operations. He was graduated from Kooseveit Hign School in Portland in 1943 and is now a freshman at University of Oregon, majoring in business ad ministration. A business meeting was held presided over by the presi dent of the club, Mrs. Cliff Thornton. This was the first meeting of the club since the Spring ceremonial of N y d 1 a Temple, of Portland. Several of those attending gave reports on the ceremonial; all expressed themselevs as having enjoyed It Immensely. As the sewing assign ment has not been received from the Chairman of Sewing, It was agreed to make a voluntary con tribution of tea towels to the Shrine Hospital.
