Games will follow. All new grange members are ejoecially invited. The grange met in regular ses sion at the hall Friday evening with Ronnie ilarrytnan presid ing. There were iil members pics ent with Mr. and Mrs. Cruit, Mr. and Mrs. Ciipps and Mr. McCul lorn from Azalea Grange and Harry Harding, Jr., from UpK.T Rogue Grange, as guests. The obligation in the third nnil fourth degrees was given to Miss Minnie Elliott and Joe lame, Jr. A potiuck supjter pre ceded the meeting. The next regular meeting will be February 13 at the grange hall. The refreshment commit tee includes Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Kobernik, Mis. Mabel Gerrick and Mr. and Mrs. John Hess. H. E. C. A HORSELESS v I SUTHERLIN GRANGE MEETING 18 HELO SUTHERLIN Wednesday eve ning, several new officers of the Sutherlin Grange, who were un the to attend the Joint installa tion held earlier at Evergreen flrange, were installed in their respective offices by Master Fred Hrauninger, assisted by Margie Sheets, as marshal!, who intro duced and sealed the new officers at their stations. Grange then opened In due !orm with Master Fred Br.iumn ger in the chaii. All of liters were present except Ed Peterson, as sistant Steward, and George Shamp, of the Executive Com mittee. Visitors were introduced and short talks were given by each, (.range by demit, they were: Mr. and Mi-i. Charles Wahl. A letter was read from W. E. Ott of Koseburg, concerning an offer on a piano. A motion was made and seconded to buy the piano. A letter from the State Master was lead relative to Roads Com mittees and also a resolution from Azalea Grange on plans for na tional age pension was read and tabled for futi're discussion. A short talk was made by the chairman of the Pamona Pest Contest, Jim Croff of Azalea. The Chaplain reported that Mrs Marvin Parks had entered the Mercy hospital at Koseburg, where she will undergo a major ox'ration. The lecturer's hour presented bv Worthy Lecturer, Margie Sheets, ofiened with the group singing "Auld Lang Syne, and "Forward Go O Patron." Questions pertaining to the grange were asked and answered. Mo. Mr. Pol lage's mother accompanied him I a. k to Oregon and will make her home yvith her son and (laughter in law . The Rev. Mr. Kleinfeldt at tended a "Preachrrs Parliament" in Eugene last week. He then left for Hend to spend the re mainder of Ihe week with his wife and family. Mrs. Kleinfeldt. who recently underwent a maior operation at a hospital in Henri, was able lo leave Ihe hosnitai lo go to the home of Mr. Klein leldt's sister and hrother ln law. who have been keeping their children. Sought SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 27 .P American Bus Lines, Inc., will operate the Dollar Bus Lines If the U. S. District Court, a federal division and an Oregon state state agency approves. Dollar lines operate from San Francisco to Portland, Ore., with intrastate rights in Oregon be tween Portland and Eugene. It was purchased vesterday by American for $.6,000 at an open sale. Sale of Dollar Lines was order ed by the U. S. District Court on complaint of the federal anti trust division that it was being run as a "second rate service." Named In the complaint were Pa cific Greyhound Lines, Greyhound Corp., Southern Pacific Co.. in terstate Transit Lines, Interstate Transit Lines. Inc., ar.d Union Pa cific Stages, Inc. The purchase by American Is subiect to confirmation by the Federal Court and approval of the Interstate Commerce Com mission and the Oregon Public Utilities Commission. American, w hich operates from New York, Phiadlelphia and Washington to San Diego, Los Angeles and San Francisco, re cently sought unsuccessfully to extend its service from San Die go o the California-Oregon state line via U.
