JOSEPH FUCHS TO BE HEARD IN CONCERT Joseph Fuchs, famed American violinist, will be presented in con cert by the Koseourg Community Concert Association Friday night, January 23, at eight-fifteen o'clock at the Junior Hich School auditorium. Members o( the as sociation are anticipating an especially fine concert, as Fuchs has received noteworthy praise throughout this country for his great talc"nt as one of the leading American violinists. EXECUTIVE CONFERENCE HELD FRIDAY AFTERNOON An executive conference of the Roscburg Woman's Club was held at the home of the president, Mrs. George E. Houck Fridav afternoon, at which time plans were made for the scholarship and fellowship loan silver tea to be held at the H. C. Berg home In Laurelwood from 2:30 to 5:30 January 31 honoring Use IXirothea Raacke, exchange stud ent from Brazil to Oregon State College. A number of state offi cers and chairmen plan to be present besides the Corvallls pre sident, Mrs. Mark McCallister, and the district president, Mrs. Max Kelly of Albany. Mrs. E. L. Tauscher is general chairman of the affair. Both men and women are invited to the tea. Mrs. I. B. Riddle and Mrs. W. H. Carter acted as hostesses for the enjoyable tea hour. The table covered by a lovely lace cloth, was centered with a mirror, flame candles and a centerpiece of jamine and daphne. Mrs. Lee A. Wells and Mrs. Frederick J. Inrter poured. INTER SE STUDY CLUB HAS CHARMING LUNCHEON MEETING ON TUESDAY The Inter-Se Study Club was very graciously entertained at a charming one o'clock dessert luncheon meeting given by Mrs. Bruce Mellis Tuesday afternoon at her attractive home on Glenn street. A very beautiful spring motif was carried out by the use of daifodib and other spring blossoms. Covers were placed for Mrs. Jay Young, Mrs. W. Howard Pat tison, Mis. Jack Ulrich, Mrs. Paul Geddes, Mrs. Gordon Stew art, Mrs. George Churchill, Mrs. Alva Laws, Mrs. C. M. Stark, Mrs. Leo Bond, Mrs. E. E. Lin dell, Mrs. E. S. Hall and the host cts, Mrs. Mollis. The program on "Buddha and His Followers" was very interest ingly presented by Mrs. Jay Young. The next meeting will be a one-fifteen o'clock luncheon January 21 at the home of Mrs. E. S. Hall on Military street. The program will be in charge of Mrs. Paul Elliott. NEBRASKA CORNHUSKERS ASSOCIATION HAS MEETING The Nebraska Cornhuskers As sociation enjoyed a dinner-dance Saturday evening at the Rivers dale Grange hall with a fine at tendance. New officers were eiected and included: president, Clifford Aten; vlce-prtiident, J. H. Howe; secretary . treasurer, Mrs. H. L. Bailey. A board was appointed to plan future activities of the organisation. DAYS CREEK WOMEN'S CLUB TO HOLD MEETING The Days Creek Women's Club will hold an all-day meeting with a potluck luncheon at noon Thursday, January 22, at the Frank Brown home.
