McKav in a "Queen For a i Day" program for the Roseburg ; Woman's Club Tuesday after noon at the Armory, which pruv-1 ed to be one of the most popular and entertaining events of the club year. Mrs. Scott Layman was 1 program cnairman and introduc ed Mrs. Helliwell, who very ably and charmingly gave a talk oil "Radio."' The three members of her staff delighted the audience with their realistic presentation of the well-known radio program "Queen For a Day." which was won by Mrs. Louis Kohlhagen. Sr. Other candidates included Mrs. J. D. Osborn, Mrs. Scot Lay man and Mrs. Washineton Hughes with Mrs. T. B. Garrison, Mrs. Walter Good, Mrs. H. N. Jacobson and Mrs. C. W. Dish man as judges. A special vote of thanks was given to Mrs. Helli well and her assistants for the splendid entertainment. Mrs. George E. Houck, presi dent, conducted the meeting with Mi-s. R. E. Crawford, chaplain, giving the invocation. It was re ported that four boxes had been donated btf the club to CARE and the club voted a donation to the Friendship Christmas Ship. Mrs. J. B.
