The first class session has been planned for seven o'clock next Wednesday eveninn, January 14. In Miss Margaret Carr's room at the Junior Hinh Schiwl. A short busi ness session was conducted b the president, Mrs. C. G. Stanton and a very interesting New Yeai program followed. Contest prize weiv awarded to Mrs. T. V. IH1 laney and Mrs. II. F. The pre si dent, Mis. Emma llecklcy, called the meeting to order dis posing of a few financial matters relating to relief expense, and pictures in particular reference to the picture "All Peoples Church" In Iam Angeles recently showa at the church. The worship table was ar ranged by Mrs. Josie Pfaft, which was very effective with the Ma donna picture flanked by light ed candles amid the holly and Christmas greenery. Mrs. Pearl Anderson read the Chrhd child tory from I.uke, then placed fhe open Hible Just before the Madonna picture. The devotions lesson was based on the (.mazing story of the lilack Madonna .vhich was read by Mrs. Edith S. ckert, accompanied by pianist Mrs. Jeannette lioucock, playing Christmas carols. To the start ing question "Iid God say let is make White man in our im lge?" The answer was deve!oed that no matter what the color t the skin, the only important fact is the repenant, contrite heart. The past year's study theme of 'Highways of Peace" was further developed by the program diree or, Elsie Coffell, under the topic f Rural and City Church Activi Ies. A most illuminating illus ration was presented by Mrs. Bridges reading a communlca Jon from the Rev. Mr. McUey lolds, who is doing an outstand ng work in south eastern Okla homa, building churhc-i for the jnderprivileged of that section is well as directing great relief work. Historic Turner Hall CINCINNATI, Jan. 8 CP) -A raging fire that shot flames hun nreds of feet into the air gutted the thre tipjier stories of historic Turner hall, on the edge of up town Cincinnati early today. The five-story, brick anrl frame building, once used as a drill pord for the Armv of the Republic, now houses the Turners Athletic Association bowling alleys and gymnasium. A U.
