I)., is in Roseburg for an indefi nite stay with his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Walton. He was joined here for the holidays by his daughter, Mrs. Lucilie Walton Hihbs, of Corvallis, formerly of this city. Mr. Walton is well known in Roseburg, having visited here a number of times. Mrs. Everett Home Mrs. Jean Everett has returned to her home in Roseburg. following a stay over the holidays in Seattle visiting her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Terrell. Harp ster, who has been ill for several weeks, but is now reported to be much improved. Back From Portland C. M. McDermutt, Associated Oil Com pany distributor, has returned to Roseburg, following a stay in Portland with his wife, who has just been discharged from a hos pital there, following treatment for pneumonia. Take Daughter to Portland Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Ruble of Idle yld took their daughter, Miss Laura Emily Ruble, to Portland Sunday, where the latter will re sume her studies at Marylhurst College, following the holidays at her home on the North Umpqua. Visiting Sister Mrs. M. Per ron of Brockway is enjoying a visit with her youngest brother, Wilfred Nadon of Vancouver, B. C, who is spending a short time at her home. This is their first visit in 17 years.
