Their aprea.an was dedicated to the RuM-buig Mien School basketball season ticket sales campaign. The band, under direction of .John fitehn, stopfM-d off here for y minutes while en route to Palo Alto, Calif., whew they will tlav for the t'OStanford foot ball game Saturday. Arrange ments for the local appearance wa made by (;eorge Luoma, Douglas Count v alumni director. Civic Clubs to Sell Tickets According to the ticket salet campaign, set up by Jack New by and Luoma, a contest will be held for the greatest amount of ducats sold between members of five of the civic clubs, Kiwanis, Rotary, Lions, Active iind Junior Cham ber of Commerce. No ticket sales will be handled by students. Due to the fact that the senIce clubs meet on different days of the wck, and In order to give the public an equal opportunity at the choice of reserved seats, only receipts will be issued by club members until Friday, Nov. 21, when receipt holders may make exchange for actual tickets and have their names placed on a master chart of Ihe gymna sium's bleachers. All M-ason tickets are for re served seats for the entire season of 15 home games. Fans will have an oppohtunity to see all the varsity games, plus prelimin aries by the junhir-varsit v, sopho mores and possibly a few grade school games. Single game tickets are priced at 80c this year, while season tickets are a reduction over last of IVtic per game. The Marshfield i'lrales will meet North Hend in an unofficial rivalry exchange Thanksgiving day to end the league's action for the season. This year marked Ihe first sea son of play for Roseburg in the coastal area since 1941, and also was the first Indian team to be mentored by Sherwood. During the Indians' eeven- ?ame season, of which they won our, Including a non-conlerence 25-13 win over Cottage (.rove, they racked up 62 points to op ponents' 101. They were blancked only by .Marshfield and (irants Pass, league winner and runner up, respectively. Under the meritorship of Sher wood, the squad of 30 boys, four of whom were returning letter men and only one of these a regular of last year, developed from a green, light and inexperi enced team into one of the major threats of the district. They en tered all gam except one as the underdog. In practically all games the reserves were called Uxn to add to the team's strength, as well as provide game experl ence for next year's club.
