Curtis IR-Neh.) said today he will propose amendment of the Social Secuiity act to cover self-employed professional people, business owners and employes oi stale and local governments. "It is estimated ihat there are about nine million self-employed people In the I'nited Stall's." Curtis said. "This group, by mak ing their own Jobs, lessen threat of unemployment in nation. "Under my proposal, the bene fits of Social Security wuold be extended to them on a voluntary basis."
