. Roseburg Rebekah Lodge will
meet at 8 o'clock Tuesday night
at the hall for the last meeting of
the retiring noble grand, Aurella
McGhehey.
The Rebekah's Christmas party
was an event of the meeting in
December. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur
McGhehey and Mr. and Mrs. Ar
thur Hudnell furnished the treats
and refreshments and members
having birthdays the last six
momhs were special guests of
honor. Lena Poole and Naomi
Murdock presented a charming
program and Santa Claus appear
ed and distributed gifts.

recreation hall of the Veterans
hospital this evening, January 13,
at 8 o'clock and all members and

ans Hospital, according to a story
in the umpqua Tidings, patient's
publication at the hospital.

of all." the paper says.

Army recruiting station.
Private Falconer enlisted for a
period of three years, selecting
the armored forces, and is now
undergoing preliminary training
at Ft. Lewis, Wash. Upon com
pletion of his basic instruction,
he will be assigned to an organ
ization. John H. Falconer, his brother,
is presently serving with the
Navy in San Francisco, as a
chief petty officer.
