MISS JACKIE FLORY HONORED AT LOVELY BRIDAL SHOWER PARTY Miss jacKie lory, daughter ol Mr", and Mrs. Clifford Flory of Suthcrlin, was complimented at a charming bridal shower party Wednesday at the J. M. Francis home at Fair Oaks, when Mrs. Francis, Mrs. Ruth Manning and Mrs. Agnes Frasier entertained in her honor. Beautiful bouquets of Turner chrysanthemums were placed about the rooms, while an ar rangement of cedar and pine with silvered cones, holly and cypress graced the buffet. Mrs. Evelyn Frolscher gave a humorous reading, after which, Sandra Lee, small sister of the guest of honor, dressed as "Cupid" scorted her sister to a beautiful gift table, decorated wi.h en twined hearts on which were placed minature love-birds. After the lovely gifts were oponed, the hostesses served a salad-luncheon from a linen-covered table. Silver candles flanked a miniature sil ver decorated tree which formed 1he centerpiece. Mrs. Clifford Flory, mother of the bride-elect, and Mrs. Frances Carrigar, presided at the serving table. The wed ding music included "Oh Prom ise Ale" and "At Dawning." The bride was lovely in a light grey wool suit with pale pink and black accessories. Her corsage was of pink rosebuds. Mrs. Ruth Anderson of Eugene was matron of honor and wore a chocolate brown and gold afternoon dress with matching brown hat and a corsage of Dale pink carnations. JUNIOR WOMAN'S CLUB ANNUAL CHRISTMAS AFFAIR IS ENJOYED The Junior Woman's Club held its annual Christmas party at a six-thirty o'clock banquet Monday evening r.t the Hotel Umpqua. Miniature sflver Christ mas trees tied with red bows and tall red and white candles graced the table, which was decorated by Mrs. Craig Marsters and Mrs. Jack Davis. The ban quet arrangements were in charge of Mrs. Donald Metzger and Mrs. S. K. Mcuaughey Gifts were exchanged at the table and epch member brought a gift for a member of the County Home. A enrtstmu': tree, iruits and assorted nuts were taken and the gifts by Mrs. Metzger and Mrs. MeGaughey to the county home. The play was most delightful apd greatly en Joyed. . The Doernbechcr hospital fund drive is now on and milk bottles will be placed by members in all business houses of Roseburg. Members were appointed as chair men of the various business houses to be responsible for plac ing the milk bottles in the stores and making the collections.
