Sunday visi tors were her brother, Clark Bar tholomy, his wife and children, Marlene and Davy and Miss Max ine Barlholomy, a niece of Mrs. Sundberg from Los Angeles, who Is spending a part of the sum mer here. Marlene and Davy Bartholomy are spending a week at the Sundberg home. FAIR OAKS H. E. C. TO MEET THURSDAY The Fair Oaks Home Eco. nomles Club will meet Thursday at a noon politick luncheon at the Fair Oaks picnic grounds. All grange ladies are urged to be present. Edith Mason Circle will act as hostess. Those hav ing birthdays the last three months will be guests of honor. COUNTRY CLUB LADIE8 TO MEET ON THURSDAY The ladies of the Koseburg Country Club will hold their weekly golf tournament Thurs day morning at eight-thiry o'clock at the clubcourse. NURSES TO HOLD IMPORTANT MEETING AT FACILITY TONIGHT District No. 11 of the Oregon State Nurses Association will, hold a very important meeting tonirrht at seven-thirty o'clock at the Nurses home at the Facility, according to an announcement made by the president-Mrs. Ivan Pickens. Short were quietly married at an Impressive cere mony at six o'clock Tuesday, August 6. In the evening a re ception was held at the home of the bridegroom's uncle and aunt, Captain and Mrs. Monical. A lovely wedding supper was serv ed, after which music for danc ing was furnished by Dad Long's orchestra. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. P. S. Durland, Mr. and Mrs. Coe Durland, Sr., and small son, Peter; Coe I. Durland, Jr., Miss Donna Chalker, Mr. and Airs. E. F. Oley, Mr. and Mrs. William Jordan, Mrs. Opal Wagner and Neal DeLay. CLUB PICNIC POSTPONED FOR WEEK The Past Noble Grands Club picnic, planned for Friday of this week, has been postponed until August 22nd to be held at six thirty o'clock at the Busenbark picnic grove for all members and their families. Election of offi cers will be held. CHARMING BRIDAL SHOWER GIVEN SUTHERLIN The Mary Martha Club of the SutherUn Christian Church entertained at a very lovely bridal party Fri day afternoon honoring Mrs. Claude Dickens, a; the lovely home of Mrs. Kale Graham on Pacific Highway 99. about one mile south of town. The rooms were very pretty with their bou quets of summer flowers. Mrs. Dickens flew from Eng land to New York, where she met Mr. Dickens and they were mar ried In Central Presbyterian Church, Park Avenue, New York City on May 18, 19111, and then after a short trip came to Suther Un, where they plan on making tlH-lr home and where Mr. Dick ens is employed. The girls sold hot dogs, pop corn and pink lemonade. Troops 1 and 2 went on a swimming party the next day and refreshments were furnished by Mrs. Edgar Patton. Although some of the girls went home early, Mrs. Chenoweth stayed with the rest of the girls until a late hour. Friday Troops 1 and 2 went on a swimming party at Fair Oaks, and Mrs. Grace Cornish furnish ed transportation with her wood truck. On Friday, August 2, Troops 1 and'2 met to discuss registration for camp and to make plans for equipment that each girl should take. A birthday party was given for Barbara Van Komen and Mrs. L. Jones. Mrs. Van Komen fur nished delicious cakes which were served with ice cream. Barbara received many gifts from her friends. Rebekah Lodge to Meet Rose burg Rebekah Lodge No. 41 will meet tonight at 8 o'clock at the I. O. O. F. hall, at which time the Elkton Lodge will have charge of the initiation.
