Gordon, on his seventh birth day anniversary. The table was very pretty with Its decorations of pink and blue sweet peas and nut cup favors. Two beautiful decorated birthday cakes with lighted candles were placed at each end of the table. This also being tha birthday of Judy Hens ley, one of the cakes was cut in her nonor. Delicious refreshments were served by three pretty waitresses dressed in pink crepe paper aprons and caps, tvclyn Cornish, Harriet Ripcs and Rose Mary Spackman to: Judy Hensley, Jo anne Rkleeway, Leone Rigps, Ua Cornish. Arelen Peery, Nancy Foster, Jerry L,ang, Jimmy lJeery, Elton Holm. Madelyri Chester, Nila Pope and the guest of honor, Gordon Holgate. Gordon was the recipient of many nice gifts. The pleasant , afternoon hours were spent In playing games with Judy Hens ley, Ila Cornish, Elton Holrti and Arlene Perry, winning prizes. PYTHIAN 6I8TER8 TO MEET WEDNESDAY NIGHT Pythian Sisters Temple No. 23 will meet Wednesday evening at eight o'clock at the K. of P hall. The Altruistic committee has re quested ail members to bring their donations for the children's home. Initiation will be held and refreshments will be served. All members are requested to be present. MOTHERS CLUB TO MEET FRIDAY NIGHT An important meeting of the Mothers Club of the Edcnbower School has been announced for Friday night at eight o'clock at the playshed. The applica tion of Mrs. Lydia Gillette, for a transfer from Riverside Rebekah Lodge No. 100, Gardner, Oregon, was balloted upon and she was duly elected to become a member of Sutherlin Rebekah lodge. The trip was made In the Stinson-150 plane which Fin cham, vice president of the Ump qua Flying Club, recently flew to Roseburg from the east. Fin cham secured his private license early this year and has been doing a great deal of his business traveling, particularly between Roseburg and Coos Bav, by plane.
