Fellows. Miss Martorie Lou Lelnbaum, beautiful daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Lelnbaum of Rose burg, became the bride of James Charles Fellows, son of Mrs. Sam L. Chestnut of Camerilla, Cali fornia, at an impressive candle lif'ht ceremony at eitfht o'clock Thursday evening, July 11, at the Osborne home at 219 Watson street, Roseburg. Rev. J. R. Pat terson, of Sutherlin, performed the nuptials in the presence of sixty guests. Preceding the ceremony, Mrs. Homer W. Grow played softly on the piano and accompanied 111 Stewart, who played a trombone solo, " I Love You Truly," and Miss Beverly Osborne and Billie Updograve lighted the candles, after which they took their places at the foot of the stairs to light the way of the bridal procession to the improvised altar, which was beautifully decorated with gladioli and Shasta daisies. The Bridal Chorus from Lohengrin was played by Mrs. Grow. At the close of the prayer, Harold Thom as sang, "To My Bride." The bride was given in mar riage by her father and was very beautiful in a floor-length wed ding gown of white satin, fash ioned on princess lines. Her finger-tip wedding veil was edgcd in lace and held in place with a Juliet cap. She carried a shower bounuet of roses, gladioli and stmhanotis with streamers of white satin ribbon. Miss Marilyn Lienbaum, gown ed in powder blue nylon voile and carrying pastel-colored flow ers, was maid of honor for; her sister and Betty Greenly, In a PHYLLIS MAY HAYES BECOMES BRIDE OF CHARLES H. THOMAS Mr. and Mrs. Myles Jones of Myrtle Creek announce the mar riage of their daughter, Miss Phyllis May Haves, to Charles I I. Thomas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Thomas, also of Myrtle Creek. The candlelight ceremony was performed Julv 11th at eight thirty o'clock in the evening at the home of the bride's parents with only relatives and close friends in attendance. The bride, given in marriage bv her step-father, was charming in a pin-stripe suit. She caiired a white Bible topped with a single orchid with a shower of white satin ribbon knotted with ! freesias. Miss Dorothy Hayes, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and Marion Brittson, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, was best man. S. forces during the war) was cut and served with delicious punch. The cake was elaborately decorated and topped by a miniature bride and bridegroom. After the reception Mr. and Mrs. Fellows left for Los Ange les and other points south on their honeymoon, after which they will return to Roseburg to reside until September 15, when they will move to Gaston, Ore gon, to resume their education. For traveling the bride chose a suit of light blue with black ac cessories. Out of town guests attending the wedding were: Mrs. A. R. Smith, Longview, Wash., sister of the bridegroom; Mr. and Mrs. N. R. Miss Arlene Mickel son served the punch and Miss Mary Osborn served the ice cream. Following a honeymoon to Canada, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas will return to Myrtle Creek to make their home. TWELVE AND WON CLUB HA8 DELIGHTFUL LUNCHEON MEETING Mrs. E. Kenneth Jones served a delicious luncheon Tuesday to the members of the Twelve and Won Club at her home on South Main Street. Mrs. N. E. Richard son assisted in serving. Lovely roses formed the attractive cen terpiece for the table and formed pretty bouquets about the rooms. A gift and birthday cake were presentea to Mrs. Fred Kltzman as a surprise for her birthdav. and a lovely farewell gift was presentea to Mrs. A. L.
