SONIA FETT IS HONORED AT PARTY ON TWELFTH BIRTHDAY Sonia Fett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sig Fett, was honored on her twelfth birthday Sunday at a de lightful party at the beautiful Fett home in West Roseburg. Miss Gerry Fett acted as hostess for the occasion. Lovely gifts were presented to Sonia from: Joanne Gross, Bar bara Peterson, Marjorie Spauld ing, DoTina Bashford, Barbara Rodley, Paula Hclweg and Marcia Newland. Games and horseback riding were enjoyed and later lovely re- iresnments were served at a table beautifully decorated with summer flowers, a lovely lighted cake and favor caps. Cockeram, member of a Dioneer familv of the community. The bride, dress ed in an aqua-colored ensemble with matching flower hat and or chid corsage, was escorted to the altar oy her nephew, Kenneth Hopkins. Donald Cockeram, nephew of the bridegroom, was best man and Don Hopkins and Herbert Hoean, Jr., were ushers. Ritzman and Mary Margaret Mur-ny, daughter of the late Thomas J. and Mary Ann Murphy, were married July 8, 1896. at St. Peter and St. Paul's Catholic Church at nine o'clock mass at Troy Grove, Illinois. Mrs. Ritzman was a school teach er at Dimmick. Illinois, and Mr. Ritzman engaged in farming. They are parents of two daugh ters, Mrs. Clyde S. Henninger, Winchester; Mrs. Kenneth L. Gilkeson. Mrs. Child outlined plans for the new clubhouse, which she will have built for the Roseburg Woman's Club as soon as build ing conditions improve. Mrs. Child, founder and first president of the club, announced her in tentions to build a clubhouse for the club in Roseburg at its 50th anniversary jubilee affair in 1945. Mrs. Geddes conducted the board meeting and plans were made tor the club to entertain Mrs. Child at a delightful picnic luncheon Tuesday, July 30, at Umpqua Park. All members of the club are invited and those having cars are asked to contact cither Mrs. L. A. Wells or Mrs. I. B. Riddle. Cars will be at the corner of the First Presbyterian Church at noon to furnish trans portation, ' while arrangements will be made for some cars to leave earlier to take members desiring to spend the entire day at tne parK. Johnson and Mrs. Genevieve Simmons were joint hostesses at a lovely surprise dinner-party Sunday, July 7tn, at the home of their mother, Mrs. J. C. Larimer, who has recently relumed home from a wedding trip in California. Mrs. Larimer, guest of honor, received a lovely corsage and a beautifully deco rated and tiered wedding cake. The cake was cut and served to Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Larimer. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Barnett of Eugene; iranK jonnson and daughter, Betty, and son, Don, and the hostesses, Mrs. Simmons and Mrs. Johnson. The group presented a lovely floor lamp to Mr. and Mrs. Larimer. LARRY FOSTER CELEBRATES TENTH BIRTHDAY AT PARTY SUNDAY AFTERNOON Larry Foster, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Foster, celebrated his lenth birthday at a very enjoy able party at his home Sunday. A swimming party was followed by a wiener roast, at which time a beautiful birthday cake was cut and served. Best of Enterprise, became the bride of Robert W. Dishman, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Dishman, Roseburg, at four o'clock Satur day afternoon, June 29, at the En terprise Community Church. Rev. Howard C. Stover performed the impressive double ring cere mony. Peonies and lupines formed the attractive altar decorations, while the aisles were marked with sat in ribbons and looped to pews with nosegays of mixed garden flowers. Mrs. W. F. Craig, at the organ, played "Ariso," Hymn of the Nuns" and "Song of Spring," as Miss Barbara Ehlert and Miss Betty Worst lighted the tall white tapers in the candleabra at the altar. Preceding the ceremon-' Guy Craig, cousin of the bride groom, sang, 'O Perfect Love" and "Until." The Bridal Chorus from Lohen grin was played by Mrs. Craig, organist, and Mrs. C. C. Jacobs, pianist. The bridef given in mar riage bv her father, was very beautiful in a floor-length gown of sheer nvlon marquisette with an embroidered bodice. The lace edged finger-tip veil was held in place with a Mary Stuart hat out lined in tiny nearls. She wore a strand of pearls, a gift of the bridegroom, and carried a white Bible topped by a gladioli corsage tied with a shower of white satin ribbon knotted with sweetpeas. Miss Jean Best, wearing a rose colored gown trimmed with rhinestones, was maid of honor for her sister, and Mrs. E. O. Radtke sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Joyce Best, sister of the bride, were bridesmaids. They wore blue formal gowns designed to match the maid of honor's and carried nosenavs of sweetpeas and roses. Norman Conaway was best man and Wingort Walker and Keith Miller were ushers. Both mothers wore formal gowns of blue and attractive cor sages. A reception followed In the church parlors with the bridal party standing before the deco rated fireplace to receive the con gratulations of relatives and friends. The lace-covered table, lighted by tall tapers, was centered with a three-tiered wedding cake, top ped bv a miniature wedding bell. The cake was cut by the bridal couple, after which it was served bv Mrs. t;arl Miller, witn Mrs. w. I. Dishman, grandmother of the oriuegroom, and Mrs. Asa craig, cousin of the bridegroom, pour ing. The bride was graduated from Enterprise High School and from Oregon State College in 1946. She is a member of Alpha Gam ma Delta, social sorority, and Eu terpe, national music honorary Omicron Nu, national honorary In home economics, and Kappa Del la PI, honorary in education. She has accepted a position to teach in the Forest Grove school dur ing the coming year. The bride groom was graduated from Rose bure Senior Hiuh School and at tended Linfield College at Mc-1 Minnville. He served as a captain in the U. S. Army air forces in the China-Burma-India theater of ooerations. Following his four years service, he received his honorable discharge and returned to the states, where he entered O. S. C. at Corvallis. He will complete his education at Pacific College at Forest Grove, where the couple will make their home.
