Muller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Muller of Helix. Oregon, at the First Meth odist Church in Roseburg at eight o'clock the evening of June 1. Rev. Walter MacArthur perform ed the impressive ceremony in the presence of one hundred and fifty relatives and friends. Floor baskets filled with pastel colored snapdragons and roses and tall lighted white cathedral candles decorated the altar. Mrs. Wanda Althaus, organist, played ' At Dawnine" and "O Promise Me" and followed by playing the bridal Chorus from Lohengrin as the bridal party took its place at the altar. At the close of the cere mony, Mrs. Althaus played Men delssohn's Wedding Recessional. The bride, given in marriage by her father, was very beautiful In a floor-length gown of white satin and tulle. The bodice was fashioned along princess lines with a high neckline and yoke of tulle, which was outlined with tiny pearls and sequins. The sleeves were wrist-length and the bodice was fitted with a peplum of satin. The skirt was of tulle. Her tulle finger-length veil was held In place with a Juliette cap. She carried a bouquet fashioned withloops of starched net and stephanotls centered with an orchid, with a shower of wlil'.o satin streamers knotted with stephanotls blossoms. Preceding the ceremony, Ma rlon Nelson and Henrietta John son, In attractive formal gowns, lighted the candles. . CORN WELL WINS LOW NET SCORE AT COUNTRY CLUB THURSDAY The Country Club ladles met at the clubcourse Thursday morn ing and enjoved golfing under the direction of the professional, Art Pearson, with Mrs. L. K. Cornwell winning the low net score with 39; tied for second low net were Mrs. H. C. Stearns, Miss Helen Casey and Mrs. James O. Hughes; closest to the pin, Mrs. H. C. Stearns, and blind bogey, Mrs. J. F. Dillard. Luncheon was served at the clubhouse at noon to Mrs. J. F. Dillard, captain; Mrs. W. K. Amiot. secretary; Mrs. Frederick Chapman. Jr., treasurer; Mrs. L. Bridges, an nounced that the Championship Cup tournament entrance fee will be 50 cents; eighteen holes and all matches must be played on the following dates: June Z7, qualifvlng rounds; July 3 (Wednesday), July 11 and July 18. The Handicap tournament en trance fee fill be 50 cents: 18 holes to be played and dales of play as follows: August 22. quali fying rounds: August 20, Septem ber 5 and Seplembpr 12. She is a member of Alpha XI Delta sorority. The bridegroom attended high school at Pendleton, Ore., and Oregon State College for three years. He served with the U. S. Army med ics for three years In the South Pacific Theater of Operations. For traveling the pride chose a blue wool ensemble with match ing accessories. Her corsage was a large orchid. Following a honeymoon to points of Interest In Washington, the couple will make their home about 18 miles from Pendleton, where the bride groom operates a large wheat ranch. during the afternoon with Mrs. W. F. Amiot winning the first prize and Mrs. James U. Hughes, second prize. PROMINENT VISITORS ENTERTAINED BY BADOURA CLUB THURSDAY EVENING Queen Sally Luke, recorder; Theresa Castner, philanthropic chairman: Ida Crawford, and Mamie Jennings, publicity chair man, all of Nydia Temple, Port land, were guests of honor at a five-thirty o'clock dinner given by Badoura Club, Daughters of the Nile, in the lovely garden of the Badoura president, Mrs. T. B. Vlrden, on North Jackson Street Thursday evening. The meeting followed In the living room of the Virden home. Swcctpoas and American pillar roses formed a very pretty motif for the occasion. The visiting guests "ave talks on activities of Nydia temple and of the Supreme session recently held at Sacra mento. Mrs. Vlrden conducted the business meeting, which was followed by a social hour. Following the reception, the couple left for Eureka, Calif., via the Redwood highway, stopping over in Medford to visit Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hess. At present they are making their home In Roseburg, but will spend the summer on a lookout station and this fall will go to Corvallis, where the bridegroom will attend Oregon State College. Both the bride and bridegroom were graduated May 31, 1946, from Roseburg Senior High School. The bridegroom served with the U. S. Marines In the South Pacific Theater of Opera tions and was awarded the pur ple heart. Dover, Grants Pass, was reported in good condition today by the Veterans' Hospital where he was taken alter being stricken bv a heart attack. His condition was said to be not serious. Dover was en route to the Pen dleton convention of the Disabled American Veterans.
