Mrs. Adams was matron of honor an the groom was at tended by his brother, Orvail Buckner. The bride wore a blue suit and had a corsage of white carnations. Following a weddinp trip to California, Mr. and Mrs. buck ner will make their home at Lone Pine. The bride, who has been residing with the Adams, at tended Glendale High and the groom, Cook County High School at Prineville. Weneard Buckner recently re ceived his honorable discharge from the navy, after having seen long service overseas. P. N. G. CLUB HAS MEETING WEDNESDAY SUTHERLIN The Past Noble Grand's Club was entertained at the home of Mrs. Vern Holgate on Wednesday evening with Mrs. Anna liall and Mrs. Ruth Man ning as hostesses at a delicious dessert supper at seven-thirty o'clock. Mrs. Holgate assisted Mrs. Manning in serving as Mrs. Hall was taken ill earlier In the week. A discussion was had about the piano as sev eral want to rent it, it was left to the trustees to decide what should be done. Three applications for member ship were read and committees appointed. Several members were reported sick and the visiting committees were Instructed to see that cards be sent. Mrs. Dan Wright, Mrs. iicrnlre Mediki, Mrs. Dare Kingerv and Mrs. Jen nie Lasswell, were hosts for the meeting, entertaining tor Mrs. Fred Merk, who recenll- lost her home by fire. A Liuruln Day program was given. Mrs. Sam Waikinsliaw had charge of the devotions, Mrs. Annie Krusc read a paper on "The Columbia Valley Author ity." 'Mrs. Dan Wright read a very interesting article out of the "Club Woman" magazine. A delicious lunch was served follow ing the meeting. Those present included Mrs. Sam Walkinshaw, Mrs. Fred Merk, Mis. Dare King ery, Mrs. Dan Wright. Mrs. Lula Miller, Mrs. Berniee Mideki, Mrs. Annie Kruse. GLENN C. The article said the Investiga tion was prompted by a complaint last week from a spokesman for 12 ex-servicemen fishing in the area that independents were be ing "squeezed out" by the organ ized operators. In the girls' volleyball game, Elkton swamped Sutherlin by a i score of 6413. Half time score was 33-7. Ardvce Dement was high scorer for Elkton. On the Sutherlin team, three girls tied for the scoring honors. Kathleen Clem was the official. The Elkton Elks defeated Suth erlin at basketball, 44-26. The Elks weren't in any danger of trail'ng Sutherlin except in the first quarter. But the quarter ended with an 8-3 score in Elk ton's favor. At half-time the score was 23-15, and the margin stead ily increased until the gun sound ed ending the pame. Amorde was high rjoint man for Sutherlin with 16 points.
