bless their home, and Monday all
seven, who came from all over
the United States, and one from
Italy were present to help them
celebrate.

ciation's 1945-46 season Friday

Dillard. Passes Away
Word has been received of the
death at Venice, Calif., Nov. 8,
of Will Kent, former Douglas
county resident. He was born
near Dillard, Dec. 5, 1874, the
son of L C. and Dirilla Allen
Kent. He owned and operated the
Culver ranch In the Dillard dis
trict for several years, but had
resided in California for the past
33 years.
He was a brother of Ike Kent,
Lakeview; Jennie Edmunson,
Ashland, Ore.; Ethel McKay and
Annie Agee, Roseburg. .
Funeral services and Interment
were at Glendale, Calif.

Charges Against 2 Men
Not true bills have been re
turned by the Douglas county
grand jury following investiga
tions into complaints filed against
Oscar Head, accused cf malicious
ly wounding and injuring cattle,
and Walter D. Noland, accused
of obtaining money by false pre
tenses. Charges against the two
men were dismissed following the
grand hirv's retxirt.
