Shook of Medford, and Aviation Machinist Mate First Class Jack Vosburgh, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Vosburgh of 1270 12 John St., Seattle, Wash- ington, were united in marriage, July 10, 8:30 p. m., at a lovely candlelight ceremony at the home of the bridegroom. Rev. Mr. Wilhelm officiated t the ceremony. The room was charmingly dec orated with colorful flowers and the bridal party stood beneath an Improvised arch of beautiful red and white roses banking the .fireplace. Miss Virginia Tarmala, sister of the maid of honor, light ed the candles. The bride was lovely in a for mal gown of white satin and car ried a beautiful bouquet of Amer ican Beauty roses. Miss Polly Tarmala, dressed In a charming floor-length rose for mal, was maid of honor and Avia tion Machinist Mate First Class George Otto acted as best man. The reception wbb held Imme diately following the ceremony. Mrs. Vosburg's going away outfit was a charming two piece, navy blue and white costume with white accessories. Her cor sage was a lovely orchid. The bride and groom spent ,tnetr noneymoon in Eugene with ithe bride's sister, Mrs. William Foley; in Roscburg with the bride's aunt, Mrs. Charles Hahn, and in Medford with the bride's father, M. H. Shook. They will make their home in Seattle. Mrs. Vosburgh is a graduate of Roseburg high school and Jack Vosburg, A. M. M. 1-c, has just returned after 18 months in com bat area in the South Pacific and reported for 3 months coast duty. Bloomquist of Melrose, and is a graduate of Roscburg senior high school. For thc past four months Lnsign Bloomquist has been attending the U. S. Maritime Service am eer's school at Alameda, Califor nia, from which he was graduat ed July 14. Following two wooks of travel ing and visiting in California and Oregon, the couple will go to Seattle. Ensign Bloomquist is scheduled for overseas service. En route to Seattle, they plan to stop several days In Roseburg to visit the groom's parents and other relatives and friends there. Mrs. Phillips, a native of Missouri, has been a resident of Roseburg for the past 26 years. Mrs.' Bush came to Oregon 33 years ago and resided at Sutherlin prior to moving to Roseburg in 1918. MRS. After thc supper was served under the large spreading cherry trees the guests gathered in groups and visited until a late hour. Then .everyone returned to the house ana a very large basket, oiled high with gifts for the honored guests, was brought into the room. While passing out the gifts, Mrs. Trussell was greatly surprised to receive a large pack age for herself and her husband. It was a large, beautiful lace table cloth, from their friends, ivir. and Mrs. Lester Adams, re cently from Olympia, Wash. The gilt was an anniversary remem brance for the Trussell's second wedding anniversary. MISS BECKY VICTOR AND CAPTAIN RINABARGER MARRIED IN IDAHO The wedding of Miss Becky Victor, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Victor of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Marine -Captain R. N. Rina barger, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Rlnabarger, formerly of Medford and now of Roseburg, Oregon, was an event of July 9. The single ring ceremony was read by Dr. G. L. Clark, pastor of the First Presbyterian church in Twin Falls, at 2:30 p. m. at the home of the bride's parents, and in the presence of 30 relatives and close friends. Vows were exchanged by thc couple as they stood before an improvised archway, backed by lighted tapers and flanked on either side by baskets of delphin ium, white phlox and double sy- nnga. Given In marriage by her father, the bride wore a white afternoon dress with gored skirt, low-cut neckline and short sleeves capped with shoulder epaulets trimmed with white velvet ribbon. With it she wore a half-hat, and her cor sage was an orchid, embedded in gardenias. The bride's only attendant. Miss Mary Jean Shipman, wore a light blue street dress, designed with a draped V-neckline and cascading ruffles down the cen ter front of the draped skirt. Her corsage was of gardenias For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. victor chose a lavender eye let afternoon frock, and her cor sage was of pink rosebuds. Don Potcrflcld, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, was his best man. Immediately following the cere mony, a reception was held in the garden of the Victor home with the bridal pair cutting the decorated cake in traditional manner. Mrs. F. W. Captain and Mrs. Rlnabarger left later that afternoon for Roseburg where they visited his parents for a few days before continuing to El Torra, Califor nia, where they will make their home while he is stationed at the marine corps air base there. For traveling, the bride wore a brown and chartreuse cotton sport suit and matching accessories, with which she wore thc orchid from her bridal corsage. Mrs. Rinabarger atlended Twin Falls high school and the Univer sity of Idaho, Moscow, where she was pledged to Alpha Phi sorori ty. For the past year and a half she has been employed by the Kinney Wholesale company in Twin Falls. Captain Rinabarger graduated from Medford high school, and was a student at Oregon State college, where he was a member of Theta Chi fraternity, and the Southern Oregon College of Ed ucation before enlisting in the marine air corps in 1941. He had previously taken civilian pilot's training at the Medford airport. He returned to this country about three months ago after nearly a year of active duty in the south Pacific. Captain Rinabarger's parents moved to Roseburg in April of tnis year, having lived in Medford for many years prior to that time. Other local relatives of the captain are his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Rlnabarger of 718 South Newtown street, an uncle, R. J. Rinabarger of Vancouver street, and an aunt, Mrs. Dia- mond Flynn of 1324 Queen Aunc "u MRS. MEREDITH WILSON IS HONORED AT CHARMING BRIDAL SHOWER PARTY, Mrs. Meredith Wilson was hon ored with a bridal shower at thc home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Wallace, on Harrison, Thursday, before leaving for Cali fornia with her husband. The house was decorated with lovely glads and centered on the serv ing table was a miniature wed ding cake which was cut by the now bride. The evening was spent with games that werc in tune with the occasion. Later in the evening a large, decorated clothes basket was brought out laden with many beauliful gifts. Reported Improving Mrs. Sherman Morris is now reported to be improving in health at her home in Roseburg, where she has been very ill for the last two weeks. Will Visit Here Miss Adeline Stewart, who has been making her home in Seattle the last year, is expected to arrive in Rose burg this weekend to spend two weeks visiting relatives and friends. She is a former resident of this city. Back From East Mrs. Vernon Keel and son, Tommy, have re turned to their home in Roseburg, following an eight weeks trip to Wichita, Kansas, where they Were called by the critical illness of the former's mother, who Is now reported to be improving in health. From there, they went to Huntsville, Alabama, for a visit with Mr. Keel's relatives. Back From Vacation Dr. and Mrs. Morris H.
