S. N. R., son of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert E. Graham, took place In the First Presbyterian church at Roseburg Thursday, June 22, at ten o'clock In the morning. Dr. Morris H." Roach, pastor of the church, performed the impres sive ceremony. The ceremony was preceded by Mrs. Paul Geddes playing "I Love You Truly" on the pipe organ. The' wedding party approached the altar to the strains of Rich ard Vagner's Bridal Chorus from Lohengrin. The bride was preced ed by Mrs. Garth Duval, matron of honor. Abraham L. Schroeder acted as best. man. The bride was very attractive in a two-piece dress of winter white trimmed with gold embroi dery. She wore a floral hat of cream silk veiling and pink rose buds, sweetpeas and stephanotis. She carried a white prayer book, a gift from the bridegroom, and her mother's wedding handker chief of lace. The matron of honor wore a en; Mrs. Robert Bissell and son, Jimmie;' Mrs. J. C. Giovanini and son, David; Mrs. Cliff Aten and son, Jimmie; Mrs. J. D. Osborn, Mrs. R. G. Baker and Mrs. Eva Baker. The bride's mother wore an at tractive ensemble of black with j:irsey trim and black accessories. The bridegroom's mother wore an aqua dress with black acces sories. Both mothers wore cor sages of pastel blossoms. The altar was decorated with three baskets of gladioli; one white and the other two of pink Canterbury bells and lavendar gladioli. Fenn home near Canyonville, was the scene of a charming home weddlnr on Tuesday, June 20, when Miss Lois Fenn became me bride of Jesse B. DeWald, in the presence of Immediate relatives. Mrs. A. M. Shaffer played the wedding march, preceded by the singing of "I Love You Truly," -by Mrs. Ruth Parker. The Drmai. couple took their places before the fireplace, which was banked with greenery and outlined with syringa, and the Impressive doub le ring ceremonv was performed by Rev. A. M. Shaffer, of the Canyonville Bible academy. On the mantel was a long bouquet, flanked by white tapers, and a basket of white flowers baby gladioli, asters and stocks were placed on each side of the fire place. The bride was lovely In a floor length gown of white taffeta with a long veil of tulle and lace. She carried a bouquet of gardenias, orchid and bride's lilies, and wore blue flowers in her hair. ' The bride spent her early years in this community and was grad uated from the Canyonville high school in 1931-,and for, several years was engaged in i tha florist business at Coquille. The bride groom is the son of Mrs, Emma DeWald, whose parents ; were among the early settlers of the valley. Mr. and Mrs. DeWald will make their home on a farm near Days Crepk, which Mr. DeWald operates. MRS. W. M. CAMPBELL IS HONORED AT LOVELY LUNCHEON ON THURSDAY A delightful no-host luncheon was served in the church parlors of the Presbyterian church last Thursday by the Stedfast Sunday school class, honoring its teacher, Mrs. W. M. Campbell. The tables were beautifully dec orated with early summer flow, ers and the many baskets cf flow ers around the rooms made a levely setting. Mrs. Jim Plnkerton presented the honor guest with a lovely corsage and a gift from the class in appreciation for her efficient and tireless efforts in behalf of the Sunday school class and the church in general. The bride, who was given In marriage by her father, was beautiful In a floor-length gown oi white net, fashioned along Princess lines. The full skirt was arranged In,- tiers and the sweet heart neckline was outlined with rows of tiny net ruffles. Her full length wedding veil and - train were held In place with sprays of orange blossoms. She carried a spray of orchids and gardenias tied with a shower of satin rib bons knotted with bouvardia. Miss Margaret Hamilton. A reception followed at the at tractive home of the bride's par ents on Watson street, to which one-h u n d r e d and twenty-five guesis were Invited. Gorgeous bouquets of roses, delphinium, peach bells and other Dastel col ored summer blossoms were ar tistically, arranged about the rooms. The serving table, covered by a lovely hand-crocheted lace cloth, was centered with an ar rangement of waxy magnolia blossoms and tall white tarjers. White tapers also flanked the bouquets on the buffet and fire place mantel. The lovely three-tiered deco rated wedding cake was cut by the bride and bridegroom and was served by Mrs. C. B.
