Warford, of Detroit, Mich., were
married at a very impressive dou
ble ring ceremony January 5 at
the home of Dr. and Mrs. Charles
A. Edwards. Dr. Edwards per
formed the ceremony in the
presence of relatives and close
friends of the couple.
The bride wore an attractive
powder blue ensemble with fus
chia accessories and a corsage of
carnations. For traveling she
chose a pin-stripe powder blue
su!t with black accessories. Fol
lowing the ceremony, the bride
and bridegroom left for Detroit,
Mich., to visit the latter's mother
and stopped over In Chicago for
a visit. The bridegroom has re
turned to Camp Adair, Corvallis,
and is being transferred in the
near future to Fort Sill, Okla., to
take radio instruction, while the
bride has returned to Roseburg
to make her home with her moth
er, Mrs. M. Pendergrass at 811

cards In play and jigsaw puzzles
were the attraction of the re

The ladles of the club served
pie and coffee the later part of
the evening and prizes were

The affair was also to honor his
eighteenth birthday anniversaiy.
A centerpiece of five Ameri
can flags flanked by tall red
tapers graced the table on which
refreshments were served buffet

white, and blue streamers hung
from the chandelier above the
table down to the four corners.
Decorated individual birthday
cakes lighted by white candles
took the place of the one large
traditional cake. The playroom In
the basement was also decorated
with red, white, and blue to
carry out the patriotic motif.
Following the refreshments the
guests each started a letter to a
serviceman and then passed It on
till everyone in the group had
written on it. Each letter was
taken to be mailed by the per
son who started it.
Many gifts were presented to
Ed, all of which will be useful to
him in the navy.

Morley received Informally with
her mother and Mrs. Zeh. For
her announcement party Miss
Morley wore a black crepe afternoon-
dress embellished with
Chinese brocade and red trim
edging the three-quarter length
sleeves. Pinned to the shoulder
of her dress was an orchid. Mrs.
Morley and Mrs. Zeh wore black
dresses and gardenia corsages.
Miss Tamara Ann Morley,
niece of the bride-to-be, passed
out bell shaped announcements
bearing the names of the couple.
Miss Morley received her dia
mond on Christmas eve, the 31st
wedding anniversary of her par
ents. Mrs. ' T. Jackson, aunt of the
bride, presided at the serving
table and Miss Marcell Stewart
and Miss Marjorle Watklns as
sisted. Miss Helen Hatfield pass
ed the guest book.
During the afternoon Mrs.
Oswald Morley sang "Indian
Love Call" and "I'll Walk With
You," accompanied by Miss Mar
jorle Watklhs.
The serving table was centered
with an oval ring of greenery and
red berries flanked with red and
green tapers in crystal ' holders.
The red and green color scheme
was carried out in the decorations
about the rooms.
Miss Morley is a graduate of
Salem schools and is connected
with the state highway depart
ment. Mr. Zeh is a graduate of
Albany schools and Is employed
