Program for Curbing Delinquency Offered PORTLAND, Jan. 7(AP) A Juvenile consultant in each of Oregon's counties would go a long way toward curbing the rising tide of delinquency among mo younger generation. That's the opinion of a state advisory committee which is making recommendations to the Governor's committee, created to cope with the problem. The advisory group suggests coordination of local activities by communities and appointment ot a field secretary for statewide supervision. TILLAMOOK, Jan. 7-(AP-A. J. A meeting of the directors and executive board of the Commu nity Concert association was con ducted by the president, Miss Gladys H. Strong, at the Rose burg chamber of commerce of fice last night. , An outline of the membership campaign was made and plans were made for the opening of the drive to begin at a dinner Janu ary 17. A check-up meeting was announced for the evening of Jan uary 20, and the closing of the campaign was set for January 22. David Ferguson, of New York City, will arrive in Roseburg Sun day, January 16, and and will re main here until the close of the membership campaign the fol lowing Saturday. At the close of the campaign, artists to be brought to Roseburg in concerts will be selected by the board. The Roseburg chamber of com merce office will be headquarters for the association during the week s membership drive. Mem bershlps can bo purchased there at any time during the week, or from persons assisting in the drive. Three concerts will be guaran teed to the membership. There will be no ticket selling for any concert, as only those holding membership cards will be entitled to attend the entertainments. George Jung Found Dead In His Roseburg Room George Jung, 76, well-known resident of Roseburg, was found dead in his room above the Dil- lard garage yesterday afternoon, death having possibly occurred Wednesday. He was born In Mis souri, February 14, 1867,- and for the past 45 years had made his home in Douglas county, except for brief periods. He was never married. Surviving is a sister residing in the east, and three cousins, Ray Brosi and Ivan Brosi pf Winston, and Mrs. A. B. Collier of Coquille. Funeral services will be held In the chapel of the Douglas Fu neral home Saturday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. C. A. Edwards officiating.
