months, did not seem to be im

first of last week. Mr. Brown
was called here on account of the

from injuries received while
working in the woods, underwent
an operation last Monday ana
had his foot amputated. Mrs.
Brown reports that he is getting
along very nicely and that he
wants to be home for Christmas.
The Sutherlin fire department
was called out Friday noon for
a fire in the Super Cream living
ouarters. The fire was kept from
spreading and only damaged the

smoke damage.
