A-TONIGHT All unusually Interesting sym posium on "Juvenile delinquency and Its relation to the post war re-organization," will be led by Marshall Pcngra, KRNR mana ger, at the Junior-Senior high P. T. A. meeting to be held tonight at 7:30 o'clock at the senior high school building, according to an announcement made recently by the president, H. B. Carter- The P.-T. A. has been conduct ing a series of symposiums this year, which have been unusually interesting and very instructive. In addition to the symposium, Jim Mess, president of the cham ber of commerce, will give a short talk. A social hour will follow the program and refreshments will be served by the committee. All persons interested, as well as all parents of Junior and Senior high school students, are cordially in vited to enjoy this interesting program. POTLUCK DINNER IS ENJOYABLE AFFAIR SUTHEUUN, April 13. A pot luck dinner was enjoyed by the Past Noble Grand club In the Methodist church parlors, Wed nesday. Those present were: Mrs. Pearl Hand, Mrs. Serepla Sauccr man, Mrs. Hazel Green, Mrs. Sa villa Bamber, Mrs. Mabel Ross, Mrs. Belle Cook, Mrs. Ieona Slack, Mrs. Ann Hall and n visi tor, Mrs. Elolse Lamoreaux. Folowlng the dinner games tunfn ninveH fnr which Mrs. Green and Mrs. Hand won the prizes. Mrs. Slack won the penny prize. The club decided to hold a silver tea Saturday, May 1 to raise funds lor the Red Cross. GRAND OFFICER PAYS OFFICIAL VISIT CANYONVILLE, April 13. Marjoric Simpson, grand worthy rmttron, of Oreeon made her of ficial visit at Canyonville, Wed nesday evening, at a district meet ing which comprised Myrtle Creek, Riddle and Canyonville chapters. Around seventy five were present including several visitors from Glendale- The initiatory work was put on by the Myrtle Creek chapter and four candidates were initiated Into the order. A social time and light refresh ments were enjoyed after the htiuinr: mnnlltie. UMPQUA REBEKAH LODGE HAS SESSION ELKTON. April 13. -Tile Ump iua Rcbekah lodge No. 173 met Tuesday evening with Mis. Racier serv ed refreshments at the close of the evening. WILLING WORKERS CLUB HAS MEETING ELKTON, April 13.- The Will ing Workers club met Thursday lit the home of Mrs. Agnes Hud son. A general discussion was held in which the year's work was out lined, as well as special projects to be undertaken during the com ing year. Various social events to be given were also discussed. DANCE TO BE HELD AT FACILITY WEDNESDAY John A. Macdonald, recreation al director at the Veterans Ad ministration Facility, has an nounced a dance to be held from 7:45 to 10 o'clock Wednesday eve ning, April 14, at the recreation al hall, to be sponsored by the V. F. W. auxiliary department of Oregon. Mrs. Helen Smail, de partment hospital chairman for the auxiliary, will arrive here from Portland tomorrow to no present at the dance.
