Radike, of Dunsmuir, Calif were married at wry beautiful double ring ceremony Thursday morning at 11 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents on Pitzer street. Rev. Melville T. Wire, pastor of the Methodist church, performed the ceremony and Craig Dishman, brother of the bride, acted as the ntlendnnt. The dav marked the 24th wed ding anniversary of the bride groom's parents. .Huge baskets of gold and while chrysanthemums were arranged In the living room, while an Im provised altar was arranged at one end of the room by the use of tall ferns and red, white and blue candles. Miss Elennore Ml colli played soft wedding music throughout the ceremony. The bride was very attractive In a gold-colored silk crepe frock, fashioned with gold trim and liny brown buttons. Her accessories were brown and she wore a cor sage of gardenias and rosebuds fashioned in the shape of a heart. The bride's mother wore an at tractive green-colored frock and the bridegroom's mother was lovely in a flowered silk frock. Holh mothers wore carnation corsages. Hardware store. W. C. T. Cor don and Mrs. Kenneth Good served. The bride is very well known here, having attended the local schools and is now employed at the Umpqua hotel. The bride groom was educated in Texas and is now employed at the Johnson mill in Camas Valley. Ho expects to enter the U. S. armed forces in January. Mr. and Mrs. John son are making their home at Ihe Kohlhagen apartments. Saturday evening, preceding the wedding, Mr. and Mrs. Ken neth Good entertained at a very enjoyable pre nuptial party lion oiing the bride and bridegroom elect at their home in Laurel wood. I.', held a very interesting meeting Wed nesday afternoon at the attrac tive home of Mrs. L. Kohlhagen, Si-., on Military street. Mrs. Arthur Marsh, Douglas county W. C. T. U. president, gave a very fine report on ihe convention held at Grants Pass. Mr. Annie L. Russell, local "res ident, conducted the business meeting and reports of the rum mage sales sponsored by the or ganisation were presented. Plans were made for a rummage sale to be held next Friday afternoon, November 21. and all day Salur ilay, November US, at Ihe former Thrift store building on North Jackson street. .Mrs. J. D. Osborn, Mrs. V. J. Mioolli and Mrs. Will iam Adair arc in charge of the project. A social hour followed and ;he group enjoyed looking at Airs. Kohlhagen's collection of hollies. Mrs. A. J. Forrest Travialle, represent-j ing the board of foreign missions I of the Presbyterian churcn, win bo guest speakers at the six thirty o'clock potluek supper to be held Monday evening at the church parlors. Mrs. Millican is a returned missionary from China and Rev. Mr. Travialle, who was former ly a minister in this presbytery, returned here from Thialand, whee he was engaged in mis sionary work, prior to the out break of the present war. Mrs. Millican and Rev. Mr. Travialle are devoting all of their time be iwpen November 13 and Novem ber 30 to visiting Presbyterian 'chinches in this oresbvtcrv in cluding Roseburg, Ashland, Cen tral Point, Jacksonville, Klamath Falls, Tule Lake, Medford, Ma lin, Rcedsport, Glendale and Grants Pass. Mrs. Clair K. Allen is chair man of arrangements for Ihe pot luck supper. Mrs. J. P. Motsch enbacher's Sunday school class of girls, will assist and Mrs. Earl Ullrich, Mrs. W. M. Chalmers, Mi-s M P Rarrell and Mrs. O. S. I Chambers will have charge of ii r-. n ill serving, mi:,, nuim-, be in charge of the special music. Everyone attending has been asked to bring a covered dish for the supper. Rand, celebrated her eleventh birthday anniver sary at a delightful party at her home Friday evening. Nine guests were invited and lovely gifts were presented to Doris from Susan Motschenbacher, Cynthia Sue Turner, Ida Cham berlin. Barbara Rand, Holly Nicholas, Marilyn Morton, Marie Short, Harriet Booth and Shirley Helweg.
