Geddes, who Is a very talented member of the RosebWR Woman's club will be chairman of the Thanksgiving, program to be hold by the club at a one-thirty o'clock dessert- lunch eon at the clubhouse next Tues day. Every member is especial ly urged to be present. Mrs. Harry F. Hatfield, presi dent, will conduct the meeting and Mrs. Homer Grow, music chairman, will be in charge of the community sing. Mrs. C. E. Banning, Mrs. Homer Grow, and Mrs. John William. Robert son will give charming roll-call topics, after which the Thanks giving program will be present ed by Mrs. Geddes. kplans completed for Annual chrysanthemum show to be nov. 14 The annual chrysanthemum show of the Roseburg Woman's 'club will be held Saturday, No vember 14, at the clubhouse. All chrysanthemums growers are requested to exhibit their flow ers and the public has been cor dially invited to enjoy the ex hibit. No admission charge will be made, however, a free-will of fering will be taken to defray expenses. Mrs. O. S. O n Friday evening Mr. and Mrs. Brit tain Slack were hosts to the Sutherlin Bridge club at their home on Fourth avenue. Those attending were: Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Robertson, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Holgate, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Stearns, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyal Stearns, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Jordan a.nd daughter, Patty, Mis. Cliff Parrott, Mrs. Edgar Slack and the host and hostess.Mr.and Mrs. Slack. Mr.and Mrs. Robertson won the combined high prize while Mrs. Harry Stearns won high for ladies and Lloyal Stearns high for gents. Dahlias and holly were used about the rooms and delicious re freshments were served during the midnight hour. PROGRAM IS PRESENTED FRIDAY WILBUR, Nov. 13. The Wil bur Community club held the regular meeting Friday. A very delightful program was given by the school consisting of the fol lowing: Two selections by the Rythm band; reading, "Had a Purpose," by Jerry Broszio; song "Shout Wherever Yoi: May Be," "I Am an American," by Jerry Broszio, Doris Ann Fletcher nnd Agness Holcomb; reading, "Indi an Children," by Arlyn Brown; violin solo by Fred Zuehlke; accordion solo by Mrs. Kenneth Barneburg; dialogue "Sign of America," by the school, which was very much appreciated by the audience. The next meeting, December fi, will be a Christmas party and will be held at the Slack home. FELLOWSHIP DINNER TO BE HELD SUNDAY A fellowship basket dinner will be held at the Christian church Sunday noon, following the morning service. Here From Corvallis Mrs. Kermit Johnson and baby son, Roger, of Corvallis, are spending a couple of days in this city visit ing the former's mother, Mrs. R. W. Marsters, en route to San Francisco to join Captain John son, who is stationed at the Pre sidio, and where they will make their home. Mrs. Johnson . was formerly Dorothy Marsters. HARMONY BRIDGE CLUB HAS ENJOYABLE MEETING SUTHERLIN, Nov. 13. The Harmony Bridge club had its meeting at the home of Mrs. Ed Lamoreaux, Tuesday. Those present were Mesdamcs: E. H. Randall, Lyelle Palmer, John Bratton, the Misses; Eunice Davis, Edith Bratton, Mary Alice Randall, a guest, Mrs. Savilla Bamber and the hostess, Mrs. Lamoreaux. Miss Randall won high prize, Eunice Davis low, and Edith Bratton the galloping goose. Pumpkin pie, topped with Ice cream and coffee were served. A business meeting was called by the president, Miss Edith Bratton and two new members were voted in. Minutes were kept by the secretary, Mary Alice Randall. The next regular business meeting is to held Dec. 5 with & pot-luck supper at 7:30 o'clock.
