Sutherlin Miss Dale Green, who has been nursing Dr. Dunlap in Port land, returned hero Thursday morning. She was accompanied by Mrs. Bob Adair of Portland. The Schieman Lumber com pany's new sawmill began op erations Tuesday and havo been continuing through the week al though short handed. They are sawing railroad ties for the South ern Pacific as well as rough lum ber. Miss Zlna Vitus and Mrs. Win nlford Wallace of Manhtteld are visiting their sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Mi lam, for a week or two. Mr. and Mrs. M. Aldrop from the Willamette valley have pur chased tthe thirty acres at Suth erlin from Mrs. O'Neal of Old Bridge, New Jersey. They are well pleased with their new home and expect to, do some lnproving when they get located. Mr. Aldrop thinks nothing can keep Suther lin and vicinity from going ahead. Culver's Market is having a new wooden canopy added In front of the store, replacing the awning. Rollo Knowles is doing the carpenter work and Roy Good man the wiring. Mrs. LeCnna Flnnell and da ughter, Anna, left Monday for Ashwood, Oregon where they will make their home. Mrs. Flnnell recently sold her place here to Lyelle Palmer. Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Barnes and R.
